XM

Why isn´t Convert 1.4 compatible with XM-files?
It is a very well-known format for trackers such as
FastTracker and ProTracker. It stands for eXtended
Module.....know anything about it?

Regards
Gustaf

Great question Gus! Hey,

Great question Gus! Hey, aren´t you some sort of famous electronic musician or something? Convert 1.4 ain´t compatible with XM cuz they people who wrote it does not appreciate the quality of FastTracker

Sample Volume

Is there a way to set the volume of the sample. I am using Convert for converting samples to .xi format. Problem is when I get into Impulse Tracker I have to sit there for quite awhile increasing the volume of all the samples even though I amplified the volume upon editing and creating these samples when I get into I.T. the sounds cannot be heard till I raise that particular samples volume. Also, is there a way in convert to add or allocate a name for each sample? I mean you know how when you convert samples sometimes they already have individual names given them is there anyway I can do this so a name will be set to them and in a format I.T. will recognize? Seems as though when I get into I.T. even though I have sorted my samples into various directories and subdirectories I don't know which sample is which. So I was thinkin that surely CONVERT has a way to allocate names to these samples right?

Re: Sample Volume

edit all the instruments and save them as seperate samples......then have impulse convert the whole lot after you have finished your song.....or whatever it is you track......The name of the samples can vary depending on a number of factors......It could be your sample editor.....the file fromat you save it to......and a number of other things.....Try different formats......
Try not to record all your samples higher than 16 bit and try not to do all your samps in stereo......IT should reproduce all your samples into stereo depending on your sound card.....any comments or suggestions send to my email address...
