Software Description

EVPmaker is an experimental software for the generation of acoustic "raw material" for recordings of paranormal voices on tape, also known as "Electronic Voice Phenomena" (EVP). For this purpose, the program divides any recording of speech into short segments and then plays them back continuously in randomly order. The resulting "gibberish" still sounds like speech, but can't be understood anymore, and is therefore suited as background noise for EVP recordings. Of course, the program can also be used to generate special acoustical or musical effects. More information about EVP can be found on the Web site of VTF, the German Association For Transcommunication Research or AA-EVP, the American Association Electronic Voice Phenomena.

Ive had this software for a week, and I love it. It's perfect for experimental music, but I only wish that it was easier to record and save the sounds as mp3's or wav's. Very awesome that it supports Vista though. I'm sick of seeing everything I need not being able to support Vista! It's annoying. Thanks a million.

What the hell is this?

Re: What the hell is this?

Technically, it's a sort of 'sound grinder'. It's intended to provide a background sound in which you may hear 'ghostly voices'. This effect is called 'electronic voice phenomena' -- thus the name 'EVPmaker'.
