It's a drone and effect generator, with optional input as modulator, it means that you load it as vst effect and it produces a continuous output, "gating" button stop the free running of the generator, if you send some audio to it then it uses the source to modulate the drone, best results with percussive input, drums or other strong attack sounds, but anything can be used.

The idea is to give a tool with weird behaviour like the ones you get patching in feedback different modules, to musicians who don't use modular synths, this tool is to generate typical "growling" noises pitch sweeps and drones: sirens, wind and sea shore sounds, amongst others.

But Glitch One works very good also as drums tranformer, with the "gating" feature you can gate and modulate this synth with any input, producing amazing effect when a drum pattern is used as modulation source, it can turn any drum loops in an ancestral percussion groove, maybe it's best job.

Glitch One features in its structure: two oscillators, two LFOs, one stereo delay line and two envelope followers.
