Software Description

LilyPond is a program which converts music definition files into visual or auditive output: it can typeset formatted sheet music to a TeX file and (mechanical) performances to MIDI files. Features include multiple staffs, meters, clefs, keys, lyrics, versatile input-language, cadenzas beams, slurs and triplets.

Have downloaded Lily Pond and Phython, but see no instructions for their use! What to do now?

Yes, I know how to use it but it is probably easier to learn to use MusiXTeX, guitartex or something like that to learn how.

The big problem is that documentation stinks for music typesetting, so you have to learn the language instead of just the bare minimum to to what you want :(
