This program works for me

I have tried all of hitsquad's Freeware MIDI sequencers for Windows and many of them were too complex or didn't realtime recording or quantizing or a MIDI thru switch or a metronome.

I finally started trying the Shareware MIDI sequencers and this one really works. It runs for 30 minutes and saving is disabled, but it otherwise works just fine. It also works with Hubi's MIDI LoopBack.

It has a MIDI Thru switch and a metronome. You can also disable the audio drivers which is nice if you want to record your MIDI synth's audio output using another program.

My system is Windows 98 SE with a Riviera SoundBlaster sound card.

Cuality

I like the orchestrator very much, it is ease to use, and sonds goo too! but it would be better if we can transpose on digital! why someting like this is not in the market? thanks

hi

Well done

no reverb..lame

simple and everything you need except reverb

Reverb

Nah, you're mistaken.
You get Reverb by applying the slapback preset to digital audio.
Slapback is one of the presets under Transforms>Digital Audio>Delay...you've got complete control whether it's a subtle reverb, or a massive echo.
Actually three of the delay presets are actually called Reverb 1, Reverb 2, Reverb 3, etc, so just use them.
I just use slapback the most 'cos it's my favourite. ^_^

As for MIDI, the track view has both a reverb and chorus box [scroll right in the lefthand section] and you just enter your value from 0-127, or you can add any midi controller in the events list window. Or if like me, you've got a MIDI keyboard or Phatboy controller, just use the reverb knob on there, and Voyetra records it fine like any other MIDI message.

The only thing Voyetra is missing, is recording above 16bit 44.1Khz, using VST Instruments/plugins, and being able to accept all XG sysex on the fly (it can accept XG sysex initially at the start of a song).

no reverb..lame

stuff

where is the System Requirements for this program the program is downloading but you better be able to save or i'll be pissed cause my sis's boy freind has this programe he brought the full virsion and you can save on that one
but this is only the demo.

DOP

Hi William, I have had DOP since 99 on my old home computer. I found it easy to use and has a lot of gadets, effects and thousinds of ways to produce good music. I haev recently purchsed a new computer with Windows XP and have installed the whole CD but now I have lost all the audio effects on the top right hand side of the window. Theyu are al grey coloured and no longer I am able to use them. can you advise what hs happned and what can i do? Is it the XP versin that has limited it? I contacted Voyetra (Turtle beach) and all they said was that they no longer have this propduct nor are they able to advise me on technical issues......strange. Amy way can you adise what I should do to re-activate these functions please? Thanks Gino - ITALY

Works with Windows Vista 32?

This MIDI program works with Windows Vista 32 ?

Re: if you need help with digital orchestrators functions then i

I'm using DO which I got with my Sonic Fury SC. Question: is there a way to load in samples and be able to use them in place of the regular midi patches?. I have a number of analogue keyboards and the necessary kit to record and get a sound into my PC. I have another PC with SB Live and can use Soundfonts. Is there an equivalent system for Digital Orchestrator?
Thanks in anticipation

With a soundblaster card,

With a soundblaster card, you can load the soundfont into a bank on the soundcard.

Then in Voyetra, in track view, you'll see two fields - BkMSB BkLSB - these stand for middle and lower banks respectively.

If you loaded your soundfont into bank 1, then set lower bank to 1 and hit play. Now the new sounds will be active on that MIDI channel (that is, whichever MIDI channel you set for that track in the trackview).

Alternatively, you can set the bank numbers as you would any other MIDI controller message, using the Events List window.

Not really sure what to do

I have a midi orchestrator but Im not really sure how to make the sounds play. I read the manual but dont really understand that either. It would be a help if you can go thru and explain it to where I could understand it. Thx

Hey teacher!
I bet a million bucks you can't speak more than two foreign languages... Actually I wonder whether you even speak correct English at all! I doubt you're a teacher at all - and if you are one, man, you sure got in the wrong line of business.
By the way, I'd like to see your spelling in Turkish, Greek, Italian, French, and Spanish... That would really make my day - and probably Melih's too, you ****-****!

What? No Reverb?

I have the entire Turtle Beach/ Voyetra Montego II Home Studio installed. They include the Digital Pro Orchestrator which is a very cool program, but I was floored when I found out that there are no Reverbs available for audio recording nor is it capable of accepting any outside Plug Ins! For this reason I am presently searching for a software program that supports Plug Ins and also allows channelized effects. Digital Orchestrator would be totally killer if it weren't for the lame approach towards reverb effects.

Say What also?!!!! What Moron would create a great music recording system with No Reverb ???? What were these people thinking?????

::Opinions are like assholes!::

How blind are you? Reverb is in the virtual Delay rack!

Why is everyone complaining about lack of Reverb? There are a tonne of reverb presets on the delay rack.

Yeah, you get a visual delay, compressor, and noisegate racks, which allow you to administer chorus, reverb, echo, delay, use their presets or adjust settings and make your own presets.

Just to make it clear...

[Select audio to apply the effect to], then click Transform>Digital Audio>Delay>[choose your reverb preset, or adjust the dials to make your own].

Re: What? No Reverb?

Yo, man, forget this rot. Go to digitalsoundplanet.com and download the Quartz Studio Freeware. It not only has a killer reverb, but a shimmering chorus as well. And it's included in the program. It only has four tracks, but when you record a guitar on a track and sweeten it with those efx, you won't even trip. Trust me on this one.
