RealPlayer 11 is no longer officially supported, however there are archived copies available for download from the Helix and RealPlayer Archive.

I'll try to explain how I found it, but it's certainly
a bitch. First, go to

Click on the button that says Win3.1, NT 3.51, Mac, and

Player Plus". Apparently there is no UNIX/Linux
version of Plus. Next page, there should be a pull-down
to select your OS. Among the options are Linux ELF
and a.out. For those who don't know, you probably want
ELF.

I know these instructions suck, but it's the best I
could do. The website sucks.

If you don't want to mess with that, I made it available
on my anonymous ftp server at epgilles.nexus.olemiss.edu
in the /pub/utils directory. <shameless plug coming up>

Also available on the server are mp3s, emulator roms,
and southpark sounds and movies! Don't forget, though,
if you don't own the music or game you can't legally
download the mp3 or rom. I am not responsible for any
abuse of my server.

However I can't play Real Movies as my Linux
(RedHat V5.1) is missing the Video Codec needed.

Any suggested source for the Video Codecs anyone?

Setting my LD_LIBRARY_PATH to the RealPlayer directory
made that problem go away for me

I haven't got a clue.
If RealPlayer reported that error goto their web page. They have a list of error codes that
may help you out.

Myself, I have 'execlp error 40' being brought up in my X-term window when I click
on realplayer 'home' icon. I believe that Netscape and Realplayer just can't play nice.
I wish someone would clue me in on where to go to find out what this is about!!
