Allows you to create new sounds. SimSynth does for sound what a paint program does for graphics. SimSynth generates RIFF wave format files, (.WAV files), which can be played from a Windows compatible wave device, or converted for use in DOS applications. This is the final version and is freeware.

syn files / symsinth / use them with keyboard + sequencer?

I want to use .syn sounds over a sequencer with my keyboard. I've tryed many diffrent things like syncronithing Cubase VST with frutty loops or frutty alone.. Of course it works, but without a keyboard. Does somebody know a program or a solution to use programmed sounds with simsynth for exemple and use those sounds with a sequencer over a keybard with midi.. Thanks for help.

Re: syn files / symsinth / use them with keyboard + sequencer?

I don´t know if the question is this, but if you want to use symsinth with a keyboard, just connect your keyboard to FruityLoops 3.0 or later via MIDI and enjoy!, you must select the channel where are symsinth (selecting the green led at the right of the name of the channel). Sorry for my english, I´m from Spain.

beginner trying to make music

I am interested in getting started making music with my pc. Could someone give me
some input as to what is the best software to utilize as well as any other information
for a beginner. Keep in mind that I have no clue when it comes to making music using
my pc.

I've downloaded software before and couldn't seem to do anything with the ones I have
gotten over the web.

Any thoughts?

Re: beginner trying to make music

First youl want software for drum sounds, you can get hammerhead for free or you could get fruityloops that cost money to unlock all the features "from $35-$99". Next youl probably want somthing to create samples such as s/w synth noises, drums etc.. for createing drum sounds get drumsynth or stomper ultra++ or you can just download samples in wav format from the internet or just use the drum samples that come with both the progs listed above. You might want some synth sounds? well i'd suggest either Vaz 1.5 or simsynth "wich also costs money to unlock all the features", next youl probably want somthing to sequence everything in, well get miltiquen for that, get goldwav for effects.....
Freeware listP:
Hammerhead rythem station 1.0 *sequence drum sounds-
Vaz 1.5 *make analog synthesizer sounds-
Stomper ultra++ 4.0 *make drum sounds-
Goldwave 4.02 *effects-
Multiquen "spelling? dont know latest version #" *multi track sequencer-

Well once youve fopund the best software for you then i would suggest spending a couple days reading and rereading the readme and help files that come with these programs.... Hope this helps

New version of SimSynth

I want to get the word out about the up and coming SimSynth 2.0 to real life techno-acid-house-electro sound makers. Here's the link that show a screen-shot and has some MP3's of some of the sounds it makes.

I'm also going to send out some alpha sneak previews to some select interested parties.

Sim Synth 1.3 available at Synth Zone, now freeware

David wrote to me a while back announcing that he was not continuing development
of Sim Synth so was very generously releasing the full version as freeware. The
freeware version can be found listed in on the Soft Synthesis Page

We all wish David well in whatever pursuit he is now involved and appreciate all his efforts.
