Software Description
Synful Orchestra is an orchestral plug-in instrument based on Synful's patented Reconstructive Phrase Modeling (RPM) technology.
The RPM Phrase Database contains musical phrases for each instrument. These are not recordings of isolated notes but complete musical passages that represent all kinds of articulation and phrasing.
When Synful Orchestra receives MIDI input it looks at the pitch, velocity, amount of separation or overlap between notes, note duration, volume, pitch wheel, and mod wheel to determine what kind of phrase is being played. Synful Orchestra searches the RPM Phrase Database for fragments that can be spliced together to form this phrase. These fragments represent transitions between notes, slurs with portamento, lightly tongued transitions, aggressive fast bowing, rapid runs, long sustain regions with graceful vibrato, and noise elements like flute chiffs and bow scratches. Synful Orchestra stretches and shifts these fragments in time and pitch so that they combine to form the final output.
A single note in Synful Orchestra may be built from three or more rapidly spliced phrase fragments. Splicing ordinary PCM sampled sounds in this way would create unacceptable warbles and clicks. Synful Orchestra uses a patented form of additive synthesis in which sounds are generated from combinations of pure sine waves and noise elements. This gives Synful Orchestra the ability to rapidly stretch, shift, and splice phrase fragments while preserving perfect phrase continuity.

New in v2.5.1
- Added vibrato depth control to the new French Horn. The trill control has been moved to the place of the wah control and the harms tilt slider becomes the wah control when a mute or stopped Playing Mode is selected.
- Added the ability to change banks without sending a new MIDI program change message. This means you can, for example, create a "pizz" symbol in Finale or Sibelius which just sends a bank change and will work for all the string programs. See the updated section Control Parameters in Programs and Playing Modes in the Help or users guide for details.
- Made MIDI program 127 a "no change" program. If you make a bank change and then send a MIDI program change 127 the program will remain unchanged but the bank will change. Also good for creating "pizz" etc. symbols in Finale and Sibelius.
- Fixed a bug that caused some short notes to have abnormally abrupt releases.
- Rebalanced some notes that did not have even loudness.
- Updated horn demo files so that Mozart example plays in the correct key of Eb -- not Bb as before.
help!
I am from the uk, and I am looking for an orchestral sounds library, but because I have Windows Vista, I am unable to use Garritn Personal Orchestra
I am lookng everywhere for anything comparable.
Could you recommend something, I was going to download demo, but it is only for the USA.

steve
Re: help!
Hey, maybe you should try Miroslav Philharmonik. It's sounds good!
Dunno if it fits well together with vista.
