Software Description

WAVmaker turns MIDI files of virtually unlimited polyphony and complexity into CD-quality WAVs with perfect timing precision, using fully editable instrument patches and samples of virtually unlimited size, without the noise and distortion introduced by conventional recording: the rendering process is performed entirely in the digital domain, independently of your sound hardware. In fact, you don't even need a sound card to run WAVmaker! The WAVs produced are ready to be burnt on CD, uploaded to a website or processed further (e.g. mixed with recorded vocals). All registered WAVmaker packages include the GSound 44 General MIDI and GS instrument library: a CD-ROM with full, ready-to-use GM and GS sets consisting of 3+ MB PRG patches and 261+ MB 44.1 kHz, 16 bit WAV samples! WAVmaker Plus adds a Mellosoftron key for easy patch creation/editing and real time performance. WAVmaker Studio also includes an Ace of WAV key for advanced sound editing and synthesis.

How the hell can you turn WAVs into MIDIs.
You just can't do that, your turning something that is a sound into a piece of music.
When your computer reads MIDIs it's reading of a file which is like sheet music, it's playing all different sounds at different frequencies, like different intruments playing different notes. When you convert MIDIs into WAVs your computer is recording it.
a WAV is a sound and all the computer has to do is make that noise and it's done.
MIDIs are the instructions to play different sounds at different pitches at different times, WAVs are sounds. this explains why MIDIs are smaller then most sounds. If you want to make your own MIDI intrument you need a sampling software, otherwise you cannot turn a WAV into a MIDI.

Hi!

If you email me your MIDIs, using my mac I can convert them into AIFFs, and then turn them into SNDs then turn them to WAV!!! they only wheigh around 300-1000k, sorry there isn't a converter, but if you like i can do this for you.
