Software Description

WavePurity is a powerful audio restoration software which can record, playback
and post-edit audio material. WavePurity runs under the operating systems
Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000 and supports English and German language.
WavePurity supports formats WAV + MP3. High quality filters for removing clicks,
pops and noise are available. Additional a lot of digital filters and effects
available (Equalizer, Reverb, Echo, Dynamic Compression, Stereo Enhancer...). In the "professional" version a "trackprocessor" will help you with automatic track splitting and batch processing. An integrated assistent will guide you through the first steps. The "deluxe" version contains additional plugin filters and a remote script interface (+ script editor) for enhanced batch processing.

WavePurity 5.10 comes with improved digital filters and additional Audio CDROM import capability:

  • Audio-CDROM Import of Audio Tracks Support via ASPI interface.
  • Audio-CDROM Database to manage CDROM title information and connectivity to Internet CDROM
  • Database CDDB at freedb.org.

  • New Stereo Room Display to see the stereo effects of signals.
  • Improved Filters Noise Reduction, Equalizer, Rumble Filter, AC Notch Filter by using new algorithm MDCT and improved the Enhancer Plugin Kit by using new algorithm MDCT.
  • Improved the Temp File Manager.
  • Improved the key control of Wizards and the Trackprocessor.

WavePurity

Tried it... and bombed it. Although it does a fair to even good job of cleaning up vinyl, the processing time sucks major! I've taken files that was "cleaned up" with this program and passed it through my regular NR system and still it removed a huge amount of background pops, clicks, cracle and hiss. Nice toy though for doing the odd clean-up and at a fair price too.
