Software Description

This was the smaller brother to famous DX7 synth that was a breakthrough for FM synthesis in the 1980's. It features basses, brass, flute, guitars, bells and organs. There arefour midi files that have been adapted to highlight the new instruments.

DX9 to MT32

I've tried to hook up my DX9 to control a Roland MT32 but it doesn't appear to be getting the midi signal. Is there a chanel selection that I'm not choosing?

1)check your channel (tx midi on your dx9)
2)your dx9 is in omni mode (send on all channels) ? is master keyboard ?
3) old hardware responds on only ones channel (by default 1/ channel 10 ==> rythm part)
4) check your midi cable ;)
