Software Description
mp3DirectCut is a fast and extensive audio editor and recorder for MP3. You can directly cut, copy, paste or change the volume with no need to decompress your files for audio editing. This saves encoding time and preserves the original quality, because nothing will be re-encoded. The built in recorder creates MP3 "on the fly" from an audio input. Using Cue sheets, pause detection or Auto cue you can easily divide long files

Mp3DirectCut is the best tool for mp3 editing !!!
Just few suggestions for next release:
- include other extension in file open dialog, such as MPA, so I must not rename it into MP2 ;)
- in long tasks, es. normalize, put in evidence the end of the operation, or disable the stop button.

I really appreciate your 2 programs.
They are perfect: incredibly small (what is your programming language ?), efficient and free.
Just a little request: is it possible to have a more precise zoom-in to select more precisely the parts to cut ?

This is fastest cutter, very nice tool to cut mp3 files or modify mp3 files. nice software, i love it.

I've tried em all. With the exception
of having to find and download mpglib.dll (web address is provided)to your system files, this
program is wonderfull.
It's SMALL, SIMPLE, uses MINIMAL HD space and system resources... It's a no BS, no frills, WONDER!!!
And best of all, because it doen not decompress mp3's to edit them, you end up with quality stereo MP3 files that are ONE FIFTH the size of MP3's that you are used to!!!!
And to top it all, its FRICKIN FREE!!!
No registration required later!!! No use it free for 15 days bullshit!!!

Problems
MP3DIRECT looks as perfect program for record and edit songs from vinil and cassetes.
But, have problems with encoding.
With ASM encoder, sometime insert badly ton, cca. 2 second in duration.
With LAME_ENC.DLL sometime record totaly distored sound.
And, sometime cuted file have 0 bytes size.
What is problems ?

Drect MP3
Excellent program! Small, reliable and works perfectly. I could not ask for anyhing better to suit my purpose.
