MusiCalc is a multi-functional HyperCard-based music and time calculator which will add, subtract, multiply, and divide time on a scale of minutes and seconds. Entries are free-form and may be corrected, annotated, copied, cut, pasted, and recalculated.

MusiCalc consists of 4 calculator elements: 1) MusiCalc, a calculator for musical time relationships (calculates time from bars & tempo, bars from time & tempo, and tempo from bars & time, and converts beats-per-minute to frames-per-beat & vice-versa); 2) TimeCalc, a time calculator which properly adds, subtracts, multiplies and divides minutes, seconds, frames, and bits (with optional entry of tenths, hundredths, etc. in place of, or combined with, these subdivisions); 3) BarCalc, a formula evaluator which simplifies computing the length of a piece of music, particularly music with changing meters and/or repeating sections whose measure-number count does not correspond to elapsed beats (BarCalc can!
be used for any kind of multi-part formula evaluation); and 4) SMPTECalc, which calculates sum and difference times using a stored SMPTE timecode number and MusiCalc or TimecCalc results, facilitating re-synchronization.
