Re: GEM S2 TURBO

Yes, I own one. I have recently managed to get it to communicate with the PC & Soundblaster card.

Make sure your midi cables are midi in to midi out, midi out to midi in between the PC & the GEM.

Then ensure that you switch "local" to "midi in", this turning off your Gem S2 sequencer.

In VST you click on the far right box under each recording channell & choose "SB Live OUT" which should operate your chosen sound (linked on the same midi channel) from the GEM. However, to hear it, you will have to be going through a mixing desk so that you can hear the audio signals - with soundblaster card sounds you only need the speakers on.

Hope this helps.

However, it keeps going weird on me and I have not linked them together for long enough to be able to resolve these erratic problems.

Mark.
