It is not possible to delete a specific range of frequencies from a recording.
Only the intensity of frequencies can be varied.

I've never had a problem but here's how I do it.

Import track one.
Select section to keep.
Go to Edit and select "trim"
If start of the track is selected no further action is needed.

All the songs need to play in sequence on the same stereo track.

Song1song2song3song4.

To do this you need to CUT and paste.

If you copy and paste the originals will play as well.
