Audioactive's MP3 Production Studio

This advanced encoder converts PCM files (including standard .wav files) and stores them in MP3 and compressed WAV audio formats. Once audio files are encoded, they may be used for local playback, or they may be stored on any web server for download or real-time streaming. To listen, our free Audioactive player or any of the myriad of free and shareware players that support MP3 files can be used.

The powerful encoding engine encodes two times faster than real-time on a Pentium 166MHz at 16kbps. As a professional tool for encoding audio to MP3, it converts to a wide range of bitrates: 256, 192, 160, 128, 112, 96, 64, 56, 48, 32, 24, 20, 18, 16, 8kbps. Can’t decide? The preview function allows you to listen to the audio sampled at the specified compression rate prior to encoding. This feature is particularly useful when utilizing the batch encoding capability. Drag and drop the files to automatically add them to the encoding list. Selected encoding properties can be applied individually or to entire file groups. You can preview the audio quality prior to encoding the batch. Not only is the high quality encoding fast, but you also get to the encoding process quickly and easily!

Converting .WAV files to .MP3

I have a CD 'burner' and have a project to copy all my
old 'LP's' and '33 RPM' records to CD's. Am using prog.
'GoldWave' to create .WAV files but every 2 minutes of
recording takes up 10mb of space on hard disk and want
to compress the .WAV files to .MP3. Can someone tell me
what software I might use to do this ? (Other than the
IIS group in Germany who want an initial fee to purcha-
se then a royalty on every CD you produce). Any help
would be appreciated.

You say that there is an option to turn .wav files into mp3 files on the music match jukebox. But how exactly do you do it? I downloaded it, but I still don't exactly know how to do it. Please help!

Download MusicMatch(free) and it has an option to convert either mp3 to wave or wave to mp3.

you can convert mp3 files to wav files by downloading software off the net.
Just use a search engine and type something like (convert mp3 to wav)
There is one set back thought, it will take up more space on your hard drive them the mp3s will

To make an audio cd i need wav files, but all of my files are mp3. How can I convert my mp3 files to a wav file that i can put onto a cd and listen from a regular cd player?

It's easy to convert mp3s to .cda
All you have to do is convert your mp3s to .wav with winamp or another .wav converter
Then you throw them on to blank cds with software like adaptec easy cd creator or sony hotburn software
Now you have cd audio.

First of all, you have to go to create an audio cd wizard with in hotburn or adaptec easy cd creator
then this process turns your .wavs that were once mp3s to .cda.

How to convert mp3s to .wav

Open up winamp
press "ctrl p"
go to plugins ---> output

in output...select nullsoft disk writer plugin and choose a directory
to save your mp3s as .wavs

Before you do this make sure you have the mp3s in the playlist that you want to convert

Once you press the play button, winamp will begin to decode your mp3s to .wavs
Once this is done, press "ctrl p" again and change your output plugin back
to the nullsoft waveout plugin. Then it will play your mp3s normally again

That's about it.....
