Software Description

dBpowerAMP Music Converter (dMC), is one of those must have utilities, indispensable for converting audio files from one format to another. Part of dMC's formidable arsenal, is it's ability to rip music straight from Audio CDs! [optional install], or LPs. Formally known as Shuffler Music Converter, dMC continues where Shuffler left off.

Straight out of the box dMC can convert [from & to] WAV and MP3 files. Download options bring Windows Media Audio (WMA V7), CD Audio (CDA), Ogg Vorbis and many more file types to the table. Volume Normalization, ID Tag preservation, scriptable and the simplest way of converting (right click on a file and select Convert To), round of a perfect package. What's more dMC is free.

I tried the software suggested after downloading from the recommended site, but it won't convert the .act file. I get the message, "Unsupport Format." I also clicked the on the help button in the software for the instructions. It read: "This tool is used for converting ACT file which recorded by MP3 player toWAV file, also it can playback WAV or MP3 file.

Push button function:
[Open] Open a WAV, MP3 or ACT file. If it is a WAV or MP3 file, you can playback it directly. If it is a ACT file, you should converted it to WAV file before playback.
[Convert] Do converting. Only enable when select a ACT file.
[Help] Show this help dialog.
[Exit] Exit this tool."

After following these steps, it still read "Unsupport Format."

I still can't listen to my recording on my computer.

converting files problems

hi sara,

i recently bought an mp3 player in singapore and now that i'm back to Britain, i can't manage to play the song i download from the computer to the mp3, it says that i have to convert my act files into wav files. but the converter tool doesn't seem to be efficient.
what shall i do?

with the program below, I can nt get it to work. It says it converts the .ACT file over to .wav and creates a new file to wherever i save it. I open it up and get an error meesage saying that the path is incorect. Properties say it is 0 bytes.

Yeah it Can, I live in derby in the uk i have a tool which came with my mp3 player i am however not sure whether there are any programs on the net which are freeware try downloads.com for audio conversion stuff
