Software Description

dBpowerAMP Music Converter (dMC), is one of those must have utilities, indispensable for converting audio files from one format to another. Part of dMC's formidable arsenal, is it's ability to rip music straight from Audio CDs! [optional install], or LPs. Formally known as Shuffler Music Converter, dMC continues where Shuffler left off.

Straight out of the box dMC can convert [from & to] WAV and MP3 files. Download options bring Windows Media Audio (WMA V7), CD Audio (CDA), Ogg Vorbis and many more file types to the table. Volume Normalization, ID Tag preservation, scriptable and the simplest way of converting (right click on a file and select Convert To), round of a perfect package. What's more dMC is free.

Sound Convert Tool 2.0

This tool is used for converting files of the type: .rcd or .rec or .act, which were recorded using a MP3 player / voice recorder / USB Flash Device. It will convert the file to a .wav or .mp3 file. These files can then be played back on your computer as a .wav file or .mp3 file.

Sound Convert Tool 2.0 doesn't work

I got the file and unzipped it, but launching the "PlaySnd.exe" tool and trying to direct it to .ACT files always results in a dialog that says "Can't find above file,Please copy it to %s." with only an [OK] option. Digging a little bit into the program's .ini file seems to suggest that maybe it's having trouble launching helper programs that it needs to use, but I can't find any explicit references to the directory it wants, even when I look through the PlaySnd.exe program for strings, just "%s."

Has anyone gotten this to work? If so, how?

problem in dB Power Amp(ERROR)

: I have to agree, dB Power Amp is extremely simple to use and is very accurate when converting files to different formats. but lately ive been getting an error while trying to use the software. it says
"Unable to write to 'E:\Payne\badi mushkil hai.mp3'(symbolising any folder) , disk full?"
what does this mean and how can it be corrected

What a bunch of WORTHLESS posts on this page. Looked through all these 'follow-up' links and only found ONE post with an link or an actual reply to the original post. Hats off to the guy who actually replied with something other than an empty post.
But anyways, that All Sound Recorder XP program is for recording external sound and saving it to a specific format. It's not actually a converter (checked it out already).
Check out OSS Media Converter Pro. Haven't tried it yet, but looks promising.
