These new DAW controllers are designed to provide everything you need for convenient control over your favorite music production software, and they comes in three different sizes to meet your needs and preferences.

The flagship model X-Touch carries the most number of controls and features. It has 9 touch-sensitive 100 mm motorized faders, 8 LCD Scribble Strips for instant overview and 8 rotary controls with LED-collars for on-the-fly parameter adjustments. The LED collars and Scribble Strips provide real-time visual monitoring of your sound and settings, and it also doesn't hurt that it adds some eye candies to the unit. Being bigger, connectivity options are better including built-in Ethernet, USB port and MIDI interface, more than enough for the typical home studio setup.

The slightly smaller X-Touch Compact comes equipped with the same motorized fader count as its bigger brother plus 16 rotary controls, so you still have a lot of control options for a control surface labeled as compact. A nice feature called Dual-Layer mode lets you quickly switch between DAW and instrument applications, making it useful for both studio and live performance. As expected, all control elements come preconfigured to popular DAWs, so the unit is ready for use right out of the box.

The smallest of the three is the X-Touch Mini. Because of its limited size, this USB DAW controller has only one 60 mm master fader, but it makes up for this lack by having the same Dual Layer Mode as the Compact model, and having a host of nifty knobs and buttons. The Mini has 8 rotary knobs with LED-collars and 16 dedicated illuminated buttons that include transport control, enough to provide on-the-fly adjustment of your favorite parameters. It connects to your PC or MAC via its built-in USB/MIDI interface, and configures quickly without the need for drivers.

Product Manager Bert Niedermeyer says: "These all-powerful control surfaces really let you get your hands on your software. You’ll love the tactile feedback you get from the controller surface, and you’ll wonder why you ever relied on a mouse. They really feel that good!"

The X-Touch, X-Touch Compact and X-Touch Mini are now available, and the price tags for the three are $599.99, $399.99 and $99.99, respectively. All three are covered by Music Group’s 3-Year Limited Warranty Program. For more information, head over to Behringer.
