Software Description

Fat Rock Studio is a multitrack, digital audio recorder (harddisk recording-studio). It has 16 stereo/mono channels and is designed to work just like a real world recorder. It implements a plugin-architecture for realtime audio processing effects. The best comparision is probably with an A-DAT recorder.

this program is a piece of garbage litteraly dont download it, I tried it, it's interface is worthless and very crapilly put together

Its interface is just like a real multitrack recorder. I like that, because most PC based recorders are based on some cryptic design, this one actually makes sense. If you have used a tape or digital multitrack recorder before, then you can use fat rock studio without much hassle.

Can you send me winzip 32?? Oh and in response to your question it means that you need a diff. version of winzip like 8.0 to get it go to winzip.com or have someone upload it for you. if you send me 32 i'll send you 8.0 please?!?!?!?!

Ive been looking for a program just like this for a long time- one that is easy to use and works like a reel-to-reel multitracker so I can concentrate on writing music instead of learning a complex program. Hope it works for both our sakes !!!!!!!!! Keep on plugging!

unhappy and also caused some of you to call others lots of
bad names. FRS is, as I hope everybody understand, still
in developement and testing, and even though it works really
well on my machine I dont guarantee anything cause I havent even
tested it on another computer or another soundcard.

I used the old version (2.0) and while I had a few minor problems, for the most part it's noy bad if you take the time to mess around with it. I never got the plug-ins to work, but did get the MIDI happening. Think I'll give this version a try and see what's up.......

problems with this program

I keep getting the error "The Specified Resource is already allocated", concerning my soundcard. All my other programs work with my soundcard, so I know it's this program. Any ideas around this problem? I E-Mail the author but no reply. I think it would be a great program for myself IF IT WORKED but it's far from being a beta release.
