MASCHINE 1.6 Released - now hosts VST & AU Plugins

MASCHINE 1.6 now hosts VST & AU Plugins

UPDATE: MASCHINE now comes bundled with the MIKRO Controller

Native Instruments have just released the latest update for MASCHINE, and the big news is that it now hosts VST and AU plug-ins.

Both instruments and effects plugins can be used which really improves the range of what you can do both live and in the studio.

In the following video Darren Price from Underworld demonstrates how he uses MASCHINE 1.6 in his live setup:

Version 1.6 includes a free download of the new KOMPLETE ELEMENTS bundle. With the ability to use the full range of KOMPLETE instruments and third party instruments and effects, MASCHINE has become much more than just a live performance sampler and now sits somewhere between an instrument and a production tool.

This next video shows Hip Hop producer Ski Beatz using MASCHINE 1.6 in the studio:

Further enhancements in MASCHINE 1.6 include an increased number of effect slots, a new "Pad Link" feature, individual swing per sound, clip and sample renaming, expanded Drag & Drop functionality, support for up to 32 audio I/O channels, and full Mac OS X 64bit support.

The 1.6 update and the KOMPLETE ELEMENTS bundle are available as free download for all owners of MASCHINE.

If you're not already an owner, then it will set you back $669.
