This small black cube can generate a variety of synth sounds, from sharp leads to big sounding basses along with a wide array of other soundscapes.

Even though it is small, Waldorf designed the Rocket Synthesizer to have a good mix of sound generators and control parameters. All parameters that are important in making and editing your synth sounds are made to be easily accessible, which makes sculpting your sound quicker. This synth is also designed to quickly respond to parameter changes, which gives you real-time control over your sound.

This compact unit carries the characteristic analogue Waldorf multimode filter (Low Pass / Band Pass / High Pass), which can self oscillate. It also features an integrated Boost function that intensifies the sound to your preference. Aside from being able to do modulation, the LFO also contains a flexible arpeggiator that can be synchronized to MIDI compatible devices.

Waldorf summarizes the Rocket Synthesizer by saying:

Rocket is an ideal fun sound design machine, which in combination with its extremely attractive price, will appeal to any sound designer and musician interested in quality sounds. It works as a stand-alone instrument or in any imaginable music production environment. But its most important feature is of course its sound: a real Waldorf synthesizer, powerful, direct and with a lot of love for the details. Naturally Rocket is completely designed and built in Germany.
