Software Description

CloneCD is the perfect tool to make backup copies of your music and data CDs, regardless of copy protection. CloneCD's award-winning user interface allows you to copy almost any CD in just a few mouse clicks.

Since the release of 5.0, CloneCD is not only able to copy CDs but also most DVD formats, such as DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD+R Dual Layer and DVD-RAM. The movies are copied 1:1 and therefore not modified (compressed). Note that to copy movie DVDs you also require AnyDVD.

CloneCD also works with other formats such as ISO and UDF files and copies CDs/DVDs with the new SafeDisc 3 Copy Protection System. CloneCD allows you to create perfect 1:1 copies of your valuable original compact discs. Should your copy-protected music CD not play in your car audio, the backup created by CloneCD will.

Re: matshita dvd-ram drive

i use the same drive to back up my dvds, try looking for a program called auto shrink, which combines dvdshrink and imgtool burn together and makes dvd back up very simple. look on doom 9.org or vcdhelp.com

Same problem... It appears that I lost the DVD Player software when I reformatted. When I go to C:\Programs\DVD Player, the next pop-up box reads "empty". Gateway wants me to buy software from them. How was your problem resolved?

I am having a lot of problem too. XP will see the drive if there is a CD in it when the machine boots. But once the CD is removed, the drive can no longer read anything.

Ps2 games are exactly the same as ps1 games. why do u think a ps2 can read ps1 games? because it uses same way to read the disc. so its very possible to burn ps2 games with a cd-burner. they are usually in bin/cue format. so just convert it to iso and burn with iscjuggler thats the eziest way.

Copying A CD+G

How do I copy a CD+G using Clone CD 3.3.2.1?

Re: Copying A CD+G

: How do I copy a CD+G using Clone CD 3.3.2.1?

Re: Copying A CD+G

: : How do I copy a CD+G using Clone CD 3.3.2.1?

Re: Copying A CD+G

For those of us with a burner that is NOT "capable" of burning CD+G's, there is hope!

http://www.karaokeplayground.co.uk/help/noncompatibleburner/noncompatibleburner.htm

I've used this method to burn 10 working CD+G discs thus far on my cheap Mad Dog Dominator 52x burner (actually an Artec wrr-52x, which is NOT compatible). Don't go wasting money on a high end burner specifically for CD+Gs until you try this out... although all burners I've seen listed as compatible are great quality devices.

Good luck!

: How do I copy a CD+G using Clone CD 3.3.2.1?

Re: Copying A CD+G

: : How do I copy a CD+G using Clone CD 3.3.2.1?

Just dropping a note about cd+g (karaoke) discs and how they can
easily be backed up.

First of all, CD+G format is used primarily for Karaoke discs. It
is extra data on the r-w channels on a cd that decodes to video.
Copying has prooven to be a task in the past. You needed an
expensive cdr/cdrw, special discs, scsi only, etc, etc.. but
things have come so far recently. We (the cd+g community) feel
the time is right for the rest of the world to get in on this new
technology.
To date, we can effectively take a cd+g track, turn it into 2
files, a .cdg and a .mp3 - these 2 files can be played on your
computer using programs such as wincdg [tyrannosoft(dot)com] You
can also take that file and re-expand it into a .bin file and use
cdrwin to burn it back to a disc. To do any of this you need a
compatable cdr/cdrw drive.[www(dot)mtu(dot)com] has a compatable
list. Goldenhawk has a list but it's the same list from 3 years
ago. I recommend plextor.
how do i....

First of all to take a cd+g track off of a cd you need cdrw
and a cd+g compatable reader. See above website. Open cdrwin,
choose extract disc/track/sectors, choose your reader, choose a
filename, choose what tracks you want, choose cd+g, choose name
files sequentially, and your set.
You will be left with .bin files. These files can be extracted to
.cdg and .mp3 using another tool of the rrade called mp+g tools.
Finding this program is a bit of a task. The maker asked me not
to post the program in full anywhere, only a link to his download
site so he could track the downloads, but shortly thereafter the
site went down. Now its back up. This site has absolutely no spam
or ads... [karaokedj(dot)dnsalias(dot)com/Mp3GToolz/ This program
is the easiest utilities program available to date for cdg. It
will do the following:
bin to mp3+g
bin to mp3+g to zip
mp3+g to zip
mp3+g to bin
zip mp3+g to bin
unzip folder
cuesheet creator
rename files
Quite versitile. You may want to have this just for it's unzip
folder options.
All of these files, along with the actual cdg + mp3 zips can be
found on my outsiderz.com channel (established 8/25/2000) channel
name is #CD+G
thats /SERVER hellbent.outsiderz.com in Mirc

Lastly, to burn mp3+g files back to a cd, do the following:
open windows explorer, right click on the folder you have your
zips or mp3 + cd+g files in, choose either mp3+g to bin or zip to
bin depending on your format.
Once its done, open cdrwin, choose record, choose load tracks,
click CD+G radio button, click ADD, add all of the .BIN files you
want to record !!!DONT ADD.CDG FILES!!! Just bin files. Click OK
when you are done choosing bin files, and putting them in the
right order. Then Record. When done you will have a CD+G disc
that you can play in a cd+g player (provided your cdrw recorder
is supported for cd+g in cdrwin)

We have also found a way to beat the newest protection on the
Soundchoice brand discs, but thats another conversation.

Thanks a lot for the

Thanks a lot for the reminder! It's been a while since I've been out on mIRC to download these, but I needed to make a copy. CDRWin, what a great program. Harder to find these days too! Great stuff.

Re: Copying A CD+G

Sounds like a bunch of crap to go through just to record a cdg, But you could put the Hard way out of your mind and quit buying junk to do a simple task, Microstudio has the best in CDG recording software it will do track by track, without converting anything, and I'll bet anyone it's one of the BEST maybe one better but i havent seen or heard of it, Why in the Hell do people make it harder then it's suppose to be, and they also give the most lame instructions I have ever read in my life, forget all you have read about software that does this and that, it's step by step by step by step more steps you have to do you end up forgetting what the hell you did first when you have to do it again{NO FORGET THAT BULL$&*# Go check out MICROSTUDIO hey it's cheaper than all the bull$&*% programs you have to have. Look some say Download Daemon tools 3.33 ok kool no wait then you have to have another program that cost money Goldin Hawk for the track by track feature CDRWIN Oh wait don't forget then you need Clone cd another program you have to PAY FOR, do you see were I'm going with this yet? If you dont like waisting time and Money, BUY ONE PROGRAM microstudio you dont have to be a danm rocket scincetist. if you can count on your fingers you can use Microstudios. hey you can even be like me and not be able to spell lol.You can teach a Monkey how to use microstudio. I would like to think your smarter then a monkey. If not well keep buying more software some people have to learn the hard way, I'll leave you with this thought ( People who think they know it ALL, Avoid listening to those who do)I Have used these programs I listed and the other's that are listed in this thread, take my word for it they are to time consuming to many steps to much money,USE ONE PROGRAM Microstudios,
