for ms windows it's pretty simple:
1) get a "wire" with 1/4 inch plugs at both ends; stick one end in the 'headphone' section of your tape player and the other end in the line-in jack of your sound card.
2) check your mixer (double click that little ugly yellow speaker) just make sure your 'line-in' is NOT on *mute*
3) press play on your tape player and use your favorite software to record! wola!

WAV Clip file
After using several recording programs, I have made a large .WAV Clip file. I would like to convert this file to a standard .wav file so that I can burn it onto a CD. I have been unable to do it with any of the sound editors. How can I convert a large .WAV Clip file to .wav? at the least expense?
Time limits?
Why can't I record longer than 40 seconds or so? It always tells me that there is a time restriction.

You have the demo version. It limits to 40 seconds. If you by the full version there is no time limit.

Maybe I am but I've looked over this site and can see nowhere to register for the full version. Just at the bottom of the page is that it'll cost me $11m but it dosen't say how to do it. Well, I'm in England and am prepared to hand over my grubby money to get more than a sample. How?

HELP !!!!
I just received a CD-RW and would like to know where I can get software (shareware preferably) to record Audio CD's directly to CD-RW's one track at a time. My sony CD-RW only came with software to copy CD's all at once. (Meaning one whole CD to another start to finish) Call me a novice, but I need help.
Is there a program that will buffer most of the .wav to the hard
When a .wav file is over 50mb or so the system locks because it is using all clipboard and RAM memory. Acid music is driving me crazy. I'm unable to make prcise edits due to sync rates.
Windows sound recorder will allow cuts, pastes, delete before or after a position etc to 100th of a second but crashes and locks when the .wav is the required PCM 44,100 stereo selection necessary for making CDs because of the size that's created with some long music selections.
Has any one discovered an editor that will buffer to the hard drive like Acid, but allow precise edits???

1. extract the mpeg-1 layer II audio stream with VobDec or any other dvd extraction program (http:\\www.digital-digest.com)
2. convert it to any format
3. record it on CD

Hell you could do this for free if your recording from the sound card.
If you have windows movie maker, just go to record in the file menu, then set it to record context audio, that is the audio being sent to your sound card.
As Far as playing each individual song to do this ...I agree you need an encoding solution if you find one that works well let me know.
to capture a real audio file it's best to have a program like Flashget... You need to find the rtsp:// for the file. and then download that. Don't know what I am talking about time to go read up... :) this ain't kazza bizawch...
