I have a huuuge 70MB realaudio (2hr live concert) file that I wanna convert to to WAV. Needless to say that I'd probably have to buy a bigger hard drive to do so. My question: Is there a program that can split Realaudio files into several peaces/tracks???
Please help.

There is an application that does exactly that , and even more.
It is called the "Moving" application.
This application compresses
files and directories splits them into small pieces and saved these pieces in a chosen directory (or floppy disks) and can even send these pieces by mail.
It can be downloaded from:

For ALL THOSE who want to convert MP3 to WAV's you can use the Music Match Jutebox to do it, you can get it from www.mp3.com

I would like to know how I can download Real Audio files that don't give you the record option and only stream into your computer....there must be a way to capture those files as they are streaming?

for anyone who wants to capture streaming audio
go highcriteria.com and down load the total recorder which can capture all known music formats and will convert to wav file which can be changed to mp3 files and stored on your hard drives.

Look, don't you people get the goddamned question?? It's not about recording MP3 files... it's about recording streaming audio from formats like .rbn or .rpn or .rn. Some of these are protected files that don't allow you to record them, but the question is: how do you bypass this protection? What audio recording software is out there that allows you to record whatever is playing through your computer's speakers? Please, somebody address this.

Hi,

I tried the Ra2wav posted by tom it works.

I have one more question, how do I download
the whole real audio file. Meaning, while playing
it just buffers and brings a little ram at a time.
If I wanted to store the whole song in 1 rm, so
I could convert it.

How would I do it.

just use your winamp to do it for ya.
preferences ---> output -----> diskwrite

Go to audioactive.com and there is a program you can download to convert mp3's to wav
