I NEED A PROGRAM THAT WILL LET ME DJ ON MY COMPUTER, STRAIGHT FROM CD'S SO I WONT NEED TO BURN THEM.... AT PRESENT I AM USING TWO COMPUTERS LINKED INTO A AMP THEN INTO SPEAKERS...
I WANT TO DO IT FROM ONE COMPUTER.... E.G. TWO CD DRIVES IN ONE COMPUTER...
THIS WOULD MAKE LIFE A WHOLE LOT EASIER BECAUSE I DONT NEED TWO SCREENS...
AT PRESENT I HAVE VIRTUAL TURN TABLES, BUT THIS IS A BIT SH1T, SO I NEED SOMETHING BETTER....

i have downloaded the maximum studio software ...
the instalation have ran succefully, but, windows is producing
a message ' can't find "DSOUND.DLL,DLL" requested'
when just trying to run the program
can you help please

I have an old 486 dx2 (66mhz) and I need to find some way to play MP3s on it without knocking down the khz from 128 or doing anything else to the audio quality. If anyone knows how this can be acomplished, I'd appreciate the assistance. Thanks!

Has Passport Design gone out of Business????? I have a copy
encore 3.0 and my disk got corrupted... Iwas trying to contact
them to get a upgrade copy... does any knows who sells
them now .. where can I get a copy ????

WHERE CAN I GET A DRUM KIT/MACHINE

I need something that will replace a real life drum-kit, something that will let me create an entire drum backing for a song. The sort of music i play is punk/ska, so i'm looking for something that could cope with that, any ideas??

Xenno you could use MIDI. on your computer and hook it up to something like Yamaha DTX or you could buy a trigger system and just record them
on to the computer and all you have to do is press
play . Eiether is good do but the Yamaha is exellent. cheers bye

How to record directly from PC?

I've got a SoundBlaster Live! Value and was wondering
if there's a way to record directly from my PC to the
stereo ('have a nice music-making program and would
like to put some tunes on tape). What's the best way
(if any) to do this? The docs say the speaker jacks
are for speakers or "amplifier", but...?

You need a patch chord that has a mini stereo jack on one end and two RCA plugs at the other. This is a cable commonly used to plug a portable CD player into a stereo. Plug the mini plug into the amplifier output of your sound card, and the RCA (or "phono" plugs as they are sometimes called) into the tape deck input either on the tape deck or on your reciever (AUX or any spare input, don't use a PHONO input). You should now get sound on your audio speakers and be able to make tapes.

I'm not sure but I think <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/FreeAmp/">FreeAmp</a> also has an MP3 encoder built in.
