Actually...You can purchase a program from MTU that can remove center channel vocals from wav files. I believe the link is MTU.com (I could be wrong)

Voice cancelling can be done with cool edit as long as its a stereo sample.
Select one channel of the stereo sample and invert it.
This will cancel anything in the center channel.

Download <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/Cool_Edit_Win32/">Cool Edit</a> - that's what I use.

records the input to the sound card as WAV files.

WHY IS COMPUTER NOT RECOGNIZING THE PROTECTION KEY!
im dumb and new to cubase so i cant figure what i have to do so that my pc can regonize the key...please help!

Try copying then pasteing the key, when prompted. Alternatively, make shure that after putting in key that the cursor is on the edge of the last character.

Can anyone direct me to a site that can give the information on what software etc. I need to put my music on my website. What do I need on my computer to get the music to a "wav" file. I am a basically new to this and need all the information I can find to ensure I do this correctly. I have antolog recording in my home. Where do I start. Thanks so much for your help..

Everytime I convert MP3s to .WAVs and burn a CD, each of the tracks has an audible "pop" at the very end of the track. I have tried two different MP3 decoders on my PC and gotten the same results. I typically use Adaptec Spin Doctor to burn the Wav files to CD. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions?

I hate my Cakewalk 8-looking for better prgm
Having struggled with Cakewalk from Pro Audio 6 to 7 to
8 over the last 9 months, I've finally decided to give
it up and look for something better.
I grew up on Atari C-Lab Creator program,
which is still easier to do arrangements with.
My main complaint with Cakewalk is: No pattern/arrange
function. They just want you to start at the top and
continue to the end of the song.
That's not how I write- I do it in sections, then put
them together like a drum machine. I've been told that
E-Magic Logic Audio might have a similar setup. Anyone
well versed with that or any other program that works
like that? Also have Cakewalk 6 and 7(w. manuals)
for sale.They are perfect if ya like cakewalk...
How can I render midi to wav using my default card sounds?
I need to render some midi staff to wav. And I want my pinacle´s sound card defoults sounds.
Or is it that all midi to wav rendering programs use sample patchs?

I tried both programs, Cakewalk and Logic Audio, and hated both programs. I now use Passport's Encore. The main purpose of the program is for professional music notation but it can handle midi like a charm and it does everything I need beautifully. It might work for you. However, the company went bankrupt last year and was bought by G-Vox (www.gvox.com). They offer upgrades and continues the product support. It's worth checking out. It really works for me. One word of caution: it is notationally oriented. You will not be able to view colorfull bars representing the track's music! You will see the actual notation of your music. Some music theory required for comfortable use of the program. Hope this helps. If you have any questions let me know.

There isn't going to be any software arround to do this automatically - the underlying problem of automatically identifying separate sounds in a recording is the same problem that has prevented useful WAV to MIDI programs from being developed so far.
80 minute cdr
Hi
I use EZCD 3.5b. This only seams to allow up to 74 minutes per CD, despite the available length of 700mb/80 minutes. Adaptec not much use on this. Any ideas on how I can write/copy the full 74 minutes plus ?

WinOnCD works fine, but not all recorders support 80 Min CDRs.
recording from vinyl records

I want to record direct to CD from vinyl lp without using the record deck input on my amp. Does anyone know of software that will do the necessary RIAA equalisation in the digital domain once the track has been recorded ?
How to eliminate recording hum?
O.k., here we go...
I'm recording some test samples using a SoundBlaster
Live! Value card (using a VCR as input) but can't
get rid of the background hum. I'm not using heavily
shielded audio cable (I wonder how much effect that'd
have on this). As a test, with nothing but the speakers
powered on I still got the humming noise when I
hooked up the VCR (which was powered off as well).
What am I doing wrong?
fyi... I've only recently been "initiated" into the PC
world - I'd been an Amiga user (did a few MED tunes
on GEnie a few years back) and had no probs with
background hum when sampling with it. But anyway...
Any help would be appreciated!
