Mixing CUBASIS

What's doing, I have been trying to automate the mixing in cubasis with the write function, but when I playback thru the read function the buttons move, but the sound doesn't change. is there any hope!!!!

can I use an ordinary cdr to make audio cd's

Can I use ordinary cdr's to make audio cd's if so why are there some companies that specify cdr & cdr audio?
As there is quite a price difference between the two I don't want to spend money buying cdr audio if ordinary ones will do the same job.
If they are different why?
any help most appreciated.

with for example adaptec toast u can burn audio cds on ordinary cdrs.

cdr audio cds are used for the philipps cd-toaster (which can only burn audio cds)
