Midisoft Studio for Windows vers 4.01

I am getting a lot of "illegal operation", "invalid page fault in module STUDIO.EXE." It kicks me out, I get back in, etc etc, to the point it finally would not let me in at all. I reinstalled the 4.01 and now I can hear the music when I play it, cannot hear a note if I hit it with the pointer, and I still get the page fault message so much I cannot work with my songs.

Please help. I dont want to upgrade right now, I just want this thing to work

I HAVE MIDISOFT 4.01 ON MY DESKTOP AND MY LAPTOP.
THE LAPTOP BLUE UP AND I REFORMATED THE DISK DRIVE I REINSTALLED #4 AND IT PLAYS ON THE LAP SPEAKERS. I HAVE YET TO INSTALL THE MOTU BOX TO CONNECT TO MY SYNTHESIZER. I HAVE ABOUT 100 CDS AND 500 3.5 FLOPPYS AND IT IS A CHORE TO FIND THE PROGRAM THAT WILL MAKE IT ALL WORK

Look, i'm no scientist, but my name is also Matthew, and the spanish form is spelled Mateo, not Matteo, only one "T". Got it? I may only be 13 but my brother took spanish for 5 years and is still in it now, he told me that it's spelled Mateo. I like to type, I type fast. Muahahahahahahahahaha!!!

P.S.- I also like to type long messages by saying the same thing over and over and over by using different wording, I use different words, I change words, I make my words different.

cdr audio mastering

Perhaps an exhausted thread, but I would appreciate any help.

I have a MacG4, Yamaha 8x4x24 and Toast Deluxe, Sound Edit 16, Peak

I'm trying to find the best way of making cd compilations:

1. Using all cd's as source: I'm finding the different levels the cd's were mastered at make for an unpleasant listening experience once compiled together. I tried to normalize the various tracks in Peak, but it did very little, then I tried to amplify the quiet tracks in Sound Edit but you have to guess the percentage to amplify...which led to alot of wasted discs. Are there better software programs for this kind of thing?

2. Same issue but with audio sources from vinyl and cd together.

Hi Wick,
Just a thought but you could try using Soundforge or similar to add all the tracks to one massive file with silent spaces in between. That way you could normalize the whole thing and then split them up again. Could take a while to process though!

I want to set up a SIMPLE computer mulitrack recording station. Just for scratch tracks and ideas. Doing it on the laptop would be great but could also use the PC. What do I need for hardware (sound card, mixer. ??) and software (recording, effects, drum machine, ??).

Simple eh? Well a standard PC with a soundcard will suffice, although that depends on how and what you want to record.

Still, for multi-tracking you can't beat the power of <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/n-Track_studio/">N-Track</a>. You'll find simpler, freeware recorder at <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/win95/MULTITRACK_RECORDING/">http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/win95/MULTITRACK_RECORDING/</a>.

Drum machines can be a bit restrictive, but if you're after something that gets the job done try <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/HammerHead_Rhythm_Station/">Hammerhead</a>.

You won't find them available for free, thats why they are commercial sample cds. If you want those quality of samples you'll have yto buy them.
