printing out music

I want a very simple computer program that will allow me to play a piece of music on my electric piano & then have it print it out for me. Is there such a thing. I don't want something where I have to lay down different tracks, etc.

Thanks to the person who told me about the website. I downloaded Mus.exe & even downloaded winzip. But when I click on the exe it tells me they've been unziped but will not install the music application.

I'm a serious guitarist looking for freeware/shareware that would enable me to create the sounds of violins, brass etc. with my guitar. Is there such a thing in freeware/shareware? Would I need midi of some sort to use it? If so, is there midi freeware that would work for this? Keep it simple for me if possible, please :). I don't know much electronics, just guitar playing.

I think you need a keyboard.
Then you need a sequencer.

I got cubasis inwired and emagic logic fun for free, but they might not still be available.

Then on your sequencer, you can change the midi notes to violin or any other instrument.

Oh yeah, with a sequencer you can add notes without a midi keyboard - just using your mouse.

Thats probably about the easiest way, and the results can be pretty impressive if you just keep dinking around with the software.

A guy at work just turned me on to midi using Anvil Studio which is Freeware. It has a lot of basic funtionality and is pretty easy to use.

They make their money by selling additional modules to add more functionality.

I updated Windows Me to Win xp and now my loudspeakers would not work. Win xp can not find a driver for my sound card. I would be more than pleased if You could help me. I have the following unfunctioning equipment:
Com1, Com2, lpt3 ,MPU401,optiaudio16, Game port and AUXO.
I do not know which of the above I need a driver for loudspeakers to function. I have tried to do what win xp suggests but nothing helps.

The card is based on the PCI128/64 cards. If this doesn't work, then you'll need a newer soundcard.

Midi Rig!

Midi Rig You ask? Laptop, Sofware & Sound Module, plua a couple ash trays and beer cup holders. Our current setup just isn't reliable anymore, too much abuse and a fried harddrive have made it a real chore to work with. It's time to move on, babe!

A midi rig is nonsensical. What's a midi rig? Synths/samplers drum machines? Midi beer coolers?

You should copy the anastasia font (in your encore directory) to the windows directory, together with the standard windows fonts) Once you've done that, Encore will start up with no problems.

Limited Space and Permissions

I was wondering if anyone knows of some half way decent audio editting freeware that does not need to be installed or does not require admin permissions i.e, Taureg, Hammerhead and SawCutter. I know these aren't audio editting tools. All of the above work on my student drive at school and all I need now for a kick ass micro studio is the ability to edit.
Let me know of anything that's acceptable.

I am working with pro tools 6.1 and I have an MPC 2000xl. I have the mpc in sync with pro tools, but i am not able to record on the midi track. what am i doing wrong? help!

DM2 Driver Question

I noticed that many people have lost the DM2 CD. There were no real responses to them though. Mixman will replace them for 14 bucks. But anyway, I don't need the software. All I need is the driver for Win 98. If someone could e-mail it to me that would be great.
