Hi Riccardo, I listen to jazz/rock/progressive music radio stations on live365.com. I would go there and contact some of the radio stations hosting this genre by e-mail. Please do so I can hear you too. This is my favorite style.

Hello Riccardo,

Digital audio formats like MP3, RealAudio and WMA allow
your compositions/performances/songs to be heard by the
Web community. These audio formats are some of the most
popular and there are a number of sites that will give
you free space to showcase your music.

Please contact me if you require more information.

Best of luck,
Carly.

Roland VS 1880

Question;
What are the best studio monitors (powered or with amplifier combo) are the most reasonably priced and best to use with the VS 1880

Re: Roland VS 1880

Got an Alesis power amp, and Tannoy monitors.
For a small room they do the trick. I am not a tech guy. Jus got this great model. Hope this helps.

Roland VS 1880

: Question;
: Can you use any other CD-R external drive besides Roland for recording audio? Thanks!

Re: Roland VS 1880

is there an easier way to bounce a track on the roland vs 880?

Everything about VS-1880

Please send me everything you can about VS-1880 (pictures, documents etc.)

Re: Roland VS 1880

A highly subjective issue. If you can, listen to a
few different models. I have a set of Event 20/20bas'
that I am crazy about. All of the Event line appears
to be pretty good bang for the buck. I will bet that
you get a WIDE range of opinions on this!

MP3 Jumper Problem

Hello,

I have a MP3 player called MP3 Jumper from CMC Magnetics. Voice recording is working well. But by recording MP3 I get the Windows 'Blue Screen' telling me that Windows is unable to write this device. The MP3-file is only partially recorded and it is impossible to record more MP3-songs.
I'm working with Windows 98 on a recent PC.
Who can help me???
Regards,
Philip Meert

Re: MP3 Jumper Problem

use newest mp3 jumper software:
http://www.cmcia.com/eng/all_eng.php3?swf_name=download&main_url=download_eng.php3
also there is a faq:
http://www.cmcia.com/eng/faq_eng.php3?faq_class_no=2

Re: MP3 Jumper Problem

I got the same problem and solved it by RECORDING something to the mp3 player the first time (else the red LED won't turn orange, as described in the manual). Then you have to push the button to record.

It functions quite alright.

parallel port) the file gets corrupted.
When I use bidirectional mode, the jumper

Does anyone have the same problem.
I hope you can help.

Hello,
You can go to the CMC Magnetics web site at cmc.taiwanet.com and then follow the worldwide link to their UK based headquarters. From this site there is a download link for the jumper manager software.

Hope this helps; Andy

Re: MP3 Jumper Problem

Hi,
I have the same mp3 jumper, too. it is a cool player and I think it´s one of the best. if you want to create a mp3 file you can rip it off from a cd (mp3ripper programs9 or you can simply download it (napster & co.). after you have done that you can use your mp3 manager sofware. install it - than you can use your connected player (red light is on if you press play 2 seconds) as a drive in the the normal windows explorer. just drag and drop your mp3 files from your mp3 folder to the mp3 jumper drive. that´s all

bye and lot's of fun with that cool player

Re: MP3 Jumper Problem

Me too have the downloading problem. The red light will go off after 2 to 3 sec. It should be always on after getting connected to PC. I am using CWin98. Is it not compatible?! Tks.

Try changing the parallel port mode (in setup
of you computer) to ECP mode. In my bidirectional
mode you problem happens) I tried using EPP mode
and standard mode but there are errors.
In ECP mode there are no errors in me.

Re: MP3 Jumper Problem(please help)

hi,
I have that same mp3 file but having trouble downlading tunes to it. after installing the software i connected the lead to the printer port as said in book. but everytime i drag a file to the E: drive (mp3 drive) a error message says, 'error copying file, there is no disk in drive E, insert a disk and try again'
can anyone please tell me what is going on? am i doing something wrong?

MP3 Jumper MMC Problem

I also have an MP3 Jumper. I was able to copy MP3 files to the MMC that came with the Jumper but I can not get it to play any other MMC card. It appears to record them but it will not play them.
I installed the software but it does not complete the instalation. I have tried to go to cmc.taiwan.com but can not get a collection.

The disk size for the MMC cards are different even though they are both 32 meg cards.

Any one have any idea what is going on. Any one have any idea where to get an update for the software. It seems like they have dropped off the face of the earth.

Re: MP3 Jumper MMC Problem

: I also have an MP3 Player but it just can play in Windows 95/98 and I ma looking for an drivers for windows Xp if you can help me I am so glad...

Re: MP3 Jumper MMC Problem

I too am desperatly looking for a software update.
I can't even install the software as the driver crashes windows everytime. I also cannot access the http://www.cmc.taiwan.com site. Please send me ANY information that may be of use to me please.

P.S. Try www.maxell.com

Re: MP3 Jumper MMC Problem

I bought a second hand MP3 Jumper but can't get the software to install. I think I may have a corrupt disk, or the wrong software. Does anybody have a copy of the driver they could send me?

Thanks. Greg

: Thanks. Greg

If you still require the drivers for your MP3 Jumper I have a genuine driver cd I can copy for you.

Re: MP3 Jumper MMC Problem

Finally, I solve my problem by using a MMC Card Reader (USB). It is much faster and stable.

I download songs or copy from cds. Buy an inexpensive cable from a good electric shop - plug it into your sound csrd(speaker) and into your line out (minidisc player) plug the PC speakers into your minidisc headphone socket (so you can hear the output) and away you go
No problem - If youwant very, very, very good quality do something else

Re: Can I download songs onto a Mini Disc?

I have a sound blaster Live! card and I just upgraded so I have toslink optical in and out. It comes with software that allows you to record mp3s and other dowloaded media to minidisc. Works great.

Re: Can I download songs onto a Mini Disc?

Well it is clear that you have a problem. Yes you are correct in saying that you can dowmload MP3 files onto MD. All you need is a JPEG converter, these are usually priced at $300.

You will need to have your PC next to your HIFI with an optical out lead running from your pc to your MD (If Recordable)or your HIFI. Place the JPEG converter onto your oSD and let the talking begin. You will all so need the FFF converter and a MD Disk with a least 20,000,000 SDS of Free VRC's. I hope that has cleared that up for you.

Sony just released a USB to optical, or USB to analog in option with there handheld MD recorders.
I have asked around, but they are not selling the link by itself. I think they cost about $200-$250.
I usually just run my PC line out to the analog in on the MD home unit. The sound quality is depending on your sound card. Good Luck...

audio problems with car stereo

Hi,

I seem to have a problem with cd's I copied myself. They work properly on a home stereo but in the car there are frome time to time pieces of music that can not be heard. I tried to solve the problem by lowering the "burning" speed of the writer but that doesn't work. With original cd's that I bought at the store there's no problem. Please send me some helping tips at marc.van.roosbroeck@pandora.be

Many thanks,

Marc

Re: audio problems with car stereo

Hi, Not all head units like copyed CD's. Newer units are made to accept copyed CD's but older units can't play them because they are not programmed to. Not a lot you can do apart from buy a newer head unit or see if you can have it sent away for a different chip, but I'm not too shore about that. Best to speak to the tchnical department of the make of head unit you have. Can you help me? I have posted my message called 'My amp says the voltage is too high'. Cheers Aaron.
