You know I find that the best way to find out what
exactly what I need to know about a program is firstly
to download it and play around with it a bit and
perhaps get a book on it as well.

-ve db values in y - axis

I am new to sound forge & though I understand db but cant get the logic of having the maxium amplitude as 0db in y-axis & inf as the minimum amplitude. Can someone please tell me this.

purtroppo non conosco nessun software per la conversione da .mid a .all. Comunque se la cosa ti interessa ho diversi style e songs da scambiare!!! Fammi sapere.

You can read the disk in your PC en copy it to Harddisk or to Floppy Disk.

Salve a tutti, possessori di una vecchia ma MIDI tastiera Gem Ws2.. Dopo tanti problemi volevo annunciare al mondo che la suddetta tastiera ha funzionato benissimo col MIDI: S/O: WinMe, SkAudio: Sb128, CubaseVst/32 5 R1. Collegare il cavetto MIDI-in nella porta Thru della tastiera e basta! ovviamente l'altra estremità nella porta joystick della sk audio. Impostare in pannello di controllo - Multimedia => nella scheda "Midi" selezionare il "sintetizzatore B: sb" della skaudio. In cubase fare lo stesso nel setup del MIDI e poi New Arrangement. Creare una track e scegliere nel campo opportuno di nuovo "Sintetizzatore Sb B:". FUNZIONA! Per ulteriori info ienzo@email.it

questo gia lo sapevo,
l'ho già fatto da anni ed è grandioso,
ma a me interessa il processo inverso,
ossia come scrivere col pc musiche e style per la tastiera gem ws2, ho a lungo cercato in rete, ma nessuno mi sa dire se esistono programmi a tale scopo.
il fatto è che insegno e spesso uso la tastiera e non il pc con i bambini, mi piacerebbe arrangiare gli style direttamente al pc, perchè farlo direttamente con la ws2 è un pò scomodo anche se possibile.
se mi rispondi mi fai un favore.

Help? no sound from Cubase

can anybody please help, i have cubase vst 5 and have just installed it. the program works but no sound is produced when running a song. i have AWE64 sound card and there is nothing wrong with the card because windows uses it for sounds. i have checked in the setup and AWE 64 is in the midi setup etc. for cubase. The graphic bars move for the tracks when the song is played but no sound. any ideas please?

hi all.
im looking for a really easy "one step" way of transferring all my midis to c.disc!
is there a programme to use which avoids having to record then transfer each individual mid.?
n.b.i use "nero burning rom" as my c d writer..and somehow as a one off fluke...i successfully created a c.d.of midi tracks...(the proof is on my desk.LOL)...which play as well as the originals..!
how i did this...remains a mystery..LOL.!!
any advice/help would be very welcome..

I purchased bonzi buddy and his songs about 2 years ago - I have since had to restore my computer back to its factory condition and forgot all about bonzi - how do I get him back - does anyone know if the website is still around = please email me and let me know -= thanks much

i need to record audio onto HD (from a MD) so I can burn onto a cd. The whole 74 mins have to be recorded in 1 go as is a dj mix. Trouble is, records into aiff and there is not enough space on my HD (need spare 7.5 gigs) for full recording. do you know of software that records audio and converts to mp3 before saving to disc. all help gratefully received.

For a long time I have a question, which nobody could answer yet.
We have a lot of digital audio-recordings on betamax video-tapes. They have been recorded in the eighties with the famous PCM convertor, which was build by SONY and workes with a betamax video recorder. The system converts an analog input into a composite video-signal, which can be recorder with almost every video-recorder.
Now we want to copy our recordings into a computer. We can capture the video-signal with a standard video-capture-card. But how can we convert the video-files into wav-files. Is there any software which can do this?

I've never thought of that! What a brilliant way to do the conversion! --> Video Capture it, then use software to decode it into a wav file! Has anyone come up with anything??

In the meantime, I continue using a PCM-501ES with a Coaxial SP/DIF digital output, which I fitted 2 years ago. This provides a pure digital conversion at 44.1 kHz. I use it every week for audio production work and have numerous old beta and VHS tapes that I've been converting to Audio CD.

If you have any old beta tapes that need copying to CD, I'd be happy to do them for you.
