Casio keyboards

I have just updated my keyboard. My old one was a CASIO CTK 731, with which I produced a lot of song data and loaded it onto a floppy using the keyboard's disk drive. I now have a CASIO MZ 2000, and for some reason I cannot get it to read the files from the old keyboard via its disk drive. I would really appreciate it if anyone could explain to me, in simple terms (not too technical!) any way of solving this.
Thanks.

Re: enquiry

Just a quickone on your use of language as your post makes no sense.

Asking to know more about QUOTE "The Music Software" would be okay if you had 'previously' mention what music software you are referring to. As you didn't mention it, you are essentially asking for information for all the music software every created which will bring you 'no' replies.

Trying to find particular song.

This song came out in the 1980's. It is a humourous song but it is so long ago that I heard it that I am having trouble recalling the lyrics that I once knew so well. It came out about the same time as 'Stutter Rap' my Morris Minor and the Majors.

The bit I can remember is when the song changes key (as they all do!) and the singers sang something along the lines of 'this is the key change, here is the key change' before going back to the original key of the song.

It is not much information I know!! Which is why I am having trouble locating it...any help will be greatly appreciated!!!!!!

I'm trying to find this one too...the lyric is "this is the keychange, the fabulous key change"...it's a take-off of stock-aitken-waterman songs that were around a lot at that time..let me know if you have any luck!

MY REPLY:
The song is called THIS IS THE CHORUS by Morris Minor and the Majors - i know because I have the song on cassette on a various hits album from 1989 called WHAT'S HOT '89!. I don't know what album it's off, but it certainly was a take off of all the S-A-W songs of the time, making reference to FLM by MEL N KIM and Kylie Minogue's I SHOULD BE SO LUCKY among others.

aiff files on MAC OSX

I am trying to burn a CD on my Mac to play on a generic Sony CD player but when I burn the CD in Toast 5.1.4 the Sony player will read the information but not play any music. I have also tried converting these sound files in ITUNES to other file formats with no success. I am unsure what I'm doing wrong and can' t find very much information on the net about this... can anyone help PLEASE!

Re: aiff files on MAC OSX

Sounds like you are doing everything right. Can you hear the tunes in iTunes??

I use iTunes for burning audio CD's as it's soo easy to use. Go to Preferences in iTunes and click the Burning button. Check that it is set to burn Audio CD's.

Try a different brand of CDR. Also try the CD in the Mac itself to see if it a problem with the Sony CD player..

playlist

I use MediaPlayer. Need to know how to get it to get it to print out the various playlists contents.

Also, I'm looking for a way to print out the list of music pieces on my CDs. Will MediaPlayer do that? If not, what do I need to go to?

big time buzz problem!!

hello,
i have a problem with the studio i just built. about 2 months ago we wraped up the construction and pluged a guitar in, and there it was. a crap load of hum. so we thought, ah it's got to be a ground problem with the electricty, or with that amp. nope, not the problem. we relized that there was a huge circuit breaker right outside the building. so we had the electricty company come out and see what they could do. well the did a pretty good job. now the problem is there is no buzz in humbucking pickups, now it's just in single coil pickups. of course if you move the selector on the guitar from bridge position to the middle, the buzz calms down alittle. but if there is any thing any one can tell me please. oh yeah, and we've even put aluminum foil up on the way, that didn't help at all. unless we just need to use more. thank you again.

Re: The solution to getting the right drivers

Finding the right drivers often stems from the
problem that you can't identify the exact drivers that
are needed - particularly with so many functions built
into mother boards these days.

Anyway, this is a problem that our Production Manager
recently solved, and here is part of Geoff Nicholson's
solution to finding a screen driver for an older computer and the exact same process works for all drivers...

<font color="#0000FF">Ultimately I downloaded and installed AIDA Enterprise System Information.
The program digs up detailed information about your system. I looked at the
device description for my PCI/AGP video display. With that, I found out
that I had an Intel 740 device. From there, it was a simple matter of
downloading and installing the relevant Intel 740 drivers for my operating
system. I rebooted and set the display properties to 1024 by 768 at high
colour. Problem solved!

Once you know what drivers you need simply go and
search for them at Google.com or Drivers.com

binary file download question

Just getting started trying to use binary music newsgroup files.

I understand I need a decoder program such as yENC, or similar.

What I need help on is understanding the mechanics of how the binary file, which is an email file in the newsgroup, gets to the decoder program.

I have Outlook Express in Windows XP, so have to open the email file on the newsgroup for reading. Normally, all you see is gibberish when this is done. Which, of course, is where the decoder comes in. But, what couples the decoder to the newsgroup file OE is displaying? This is where I'm missing something.

Re: binary file download question

Hey there e mail me if u figured it out i am a newbie to please get back to me we might be able to help each other

Need Transferring help !

I've looked through all the posts but can't seem to find an answer to this, so if it was answered before, I missed it.
A friend is trying to take the music off her cassettes and burn the songs to CD. She has some kind of wire she got at Radio Shack (which is all I knew to tell her) and now we have NO clue how to do this. If someone could please email me and explain this procedure in simple terms, I'd sure be VERY grateful!
Thanks so much all!

Re: Need Transferring help !

Hi Marie,

Theres a Shareware Music Machine tutorial on the subject which should be of assistance. You can find it here <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/news/1316/">http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/news/1316/</a>

Best of luck,

Re: classical music cd database

I agree with DD. The problem with classical music is that everyone who enters stuff into CDDB seem to have a different (bizarre) view on what the fields mean. I have seen Solti as the composer on an entry for Wagner's Parsifal. How dumb is that? So you either have to re-edit when you have imported the data from CDDB or create your own from scratch.

Roger

: I found the links suggested below pretty frustrating. All the programs are too simple, more like rock databases with extra fields. I had good luck with ClassiCat at one point, but I don't know if it now has CDDB capabilities or not.

: Hi

: : You should use a CDDB-compatible CD player or database program. The player will read the disc and grab its title off an online database.
