Piece of cake.... all it takes is money and a lot of patience. Get the file called X-FileGet...with it you can capture .ra files. Then you use the Ra2Wav program by the same company to convert the .ra into .wav file. Then you use the I3Prod program to turn the .wav into an .mp3. tried some otehr .wav to .mp3 but they make the .ra file play back at supersonic speed if you try to listen to it. I download Art Bell show archives all the time and play them on my RIO when I'm in the car. Only one problem.... I haven't been able to download a complete show with the X-FileGet program. It always stops somewhere between 4 and 6 Mb. Don' know if its the software or my internet connection.

check out www.streambox.com and download their "streambox ripper". A free trial is available, or you can buy it for $34.95. Works great.

SB Live! I/O card

I have the card. Just plug the daughterboard into the main board and mount it inside the case like any other card slot.

Another question: Is there any freeware for Yamaha PSR-330. Up to now I can't dump any file from the keyboard to my PC.

To dump your keyboard try MIDIOX; its a software you can find at

There are mnay Mp3 to Wav/mid converters out there. You have to actually look for them.

Audiograbber has been rock solid for me (for over 6 mos of heavy use.)

Add to it the Blade Enc and I can't imagine you'll have any regrets.

voice changing program

CubaseVST3.7 and Fiji

If anyone out there is running a TB (pinnie or Fiji) with Cubase VST, I could use some help. VST crashes on open since I installed the Fiji. All my other Software is working fine. I had the same problem with my SBLive, but was able to solve that setup. Any info would be appreciated.

I just read about a 5 cd set called "Golden Ears", a crash course on how to hear music. I'm not sure where to pick it up, but I'm on the hunt! Also, you can try both "Recording" and "Electronic Musician" magazines.

Difficult task mate.
I have a greek translated version of a MIDI book which could be usefull to you if you find the english version : "USING MIDI" or something like that by HELEN CASABONA and DAVID FREDERICK.
It is a novice guide to MIDI which can give you a very good idea of how thinks interact (Keyboard to Computer to synthesiser). Then you would have the right bases to understand things like MIDI channels, Sysex etc and understand how your sequencer program controls your soundcards resources etc and what your keyboard transmits to the computer.

i don't know much about software, but i have been using the demo version of COOL EDIT PRO and it has a vocal remover effect that seems to work well. after you download it, on the top, click on transform, then amplitude, then channel mixer. in the presets, there will be a vocal cut option. this program does not burn cd's. CHECK IT OUT.

For obvious reasons, I will keep my email address secret, but you can get the full Cool Edit Pro 2.1 if you download a copy from Limewire. It can be a pain in the ass due to the spyware but well worth it if you take the time. First, download mynapster. There is little or no ad/spyware. It is almost as good as limewire, but not quite. You have to disable any anti- spyware. Then find and d/l cool edit pro 2.0 or 2.1. I have 6 feature films, photoshop 7, cool edit 2.1 and a few anti-adware/spyware/virus programs this way, not to mention the great music. I run spy-subtract, spy sweeper & ad-aware at the same time. You need more than one program today with all the asshole spies and spammers out there.
