Need help converting SEQ files to WAV or MP3

I have Power Tracks Pro Audio 6.0 and I am trying to
burn some music takes I composed on a CD. When you
record on Power Tracks, you either use a MIDI instrument
or a mic (which saves the work in a SEQ file). I am
unable to burn these SEQ files b/c they are unrecognizable.
can you PLEASE help me???

Midi files

I am a very competent guitarist, and at 50 years of age, have finally managed to overcome my technophobe to master the computer!
Problem!
I want to produce midi files for my own use, I can NOT play keyboards, so can anyone recommend a software which is intuitive with an easy learning curve, and which doesn't insist on input with a keyboard device, but which even someone like me can grasp quickly?

Contact EDIROL at www.edirol.com . They may have what you are looking for.... Hope this helps....

Re: Midi files

You can make your guitar MIDI compatible, or buy a MIDI guitar. Many software notation packages will recognize input from any MIDI source, whether it is guitar or synthesizer. See your local guitar shop, they should be able to help.

Jump Music has ConcertWare, which is a lower cost notation program. See their web site.

Good Luck--I am 50 something too and have been using ConcertWare for years to notate compositions.

harmonization

Does anybody know program for making 4-layer harmonization. It should use all rules of classic J.S.Bach compositing - learning on music academy etc.

Check web sites for Jump Music and Coda Music. They have a number of programs available which may meet your needs.

live! drive in-built synth...where?

i recently installed a soundblaster platinum live drive. its great, but for one thing. im using the cubasis program to make tunes, but i cant work out how to hear the wavetable synth. it has a nice grand piano sound...when i click the 'bank' field (as it says in the instructions), i dont get a pop-up thing control panel. it is very confusing, when i look at the synths in the soundblaster config program, i seem to have an A synth, a B synth and an EMU synth. Which do I use? and how? help!

SCSI Connector

Does anyone know why I can't burn CD's with an IDE connected CD-RW in WaveLab 3.0 ?
The model is TEAC CD-W54E, and I simply cannot find it in the "Connected Cd-Recorders" list...
Any sort of help is appreciated.

Hi
i had this problem and it's due to the strucure of the software itself.
with wavelab yoiu need SCSI TO GRAB DIRECT DIGITAL FILES FROM A CD so i suppose
thta burning a cd is the same!
Use wavelab as an (excellent) audio editor then save your files as wav on your IDE hard drive.
then burn yur audio CDD with any soft you can get for your ide cd burner bye bye

Check with their website...

I had to update Toast on my Macintosh to be able to read my Yamaha SCSI CDRW, it's not uncommon. Go to the wavelab site and check it out. Alternatively, burn what you want from the original wave file with a compatible software program. Check out Adaptec for possible solutions

How to burn CDs

I can burn CD from my stand alone studio. It would be nice to take that CD, put it in my power Mac, set it in an track order and use a scsi conector to my burner. The problem I have is I do not know a program that will turn a CD into a wave file and then burn it on my burner. If you can help, Thanks.

Re: How to burn CDs

I believe the program you are looking for is an encoding program. You can obtain one for free at www.downloads.com. In the 'search' area, type in 'encoder', and it will give you several to choose from. Some are shareware, others are freeware. The one I use is called MPeg Suite 1.5.5, and is very simple to use. If you have any questions send me some mail and I will try to help.

will this have a mp3 to wav converter

will this program let me turn mp3's into wav files?

why can't I hear my superfly tunes?

I have tried all the obvious places, including the
control panel, the hardware profiles, and every folder
which may contain system, sound, or multimedia information, but I can not seem to get my MagicMedia 256 soundcard to produce Sibelius tones. The soundcard works fine, and seems to be compatible with all my other programs including cubase, napster, and soundforge, though it seems to have the same problem when I try to run audio files from the "sound" folder that came with Windows 98 (like the really bad MIDI mozart and beethoven files). I guess my major question would be: is my soundcard incompatible with MIDI files or is there some switch I need to flip? Thanks to whoever can help.

chopp and screw music

does anybody know if their is a dj program that slows down music and chopps it up like can repeat a certain word by pressing a button. I know their is some that sloww it down but i need something to slow and double some words (chopp)I f you know please respond

cubase tracks out of time

when i overdub new tracks on cubase they are always slightly out of time on playback?
anyone know how to fix???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Dreaded latency.

Im not a cubase user but i think there are some precautions to help.

First be aware that with a good soundcard latency will be around 3.5 ms as it lets you route the audio directly through it for monitoring.

Secondly the setting of your hardware buffer, use of plug ins and vsti will alter this.there should be a low latency mode with a good soundcard such as the ones by m-audio or echo.

In cubase there should be away to get low latency. Also, if you monitor from a mixer instead of the soundcard the re is no latency.

While i cant give the best answer im POSITIVE you will get the help ypui need at www.cubase.net

Delay...

What sort of overdubbing do you mean?? are you overdubbing on existing material or onto it's own track?? Latency is still very much an issue with systems that struggle to give a noticable delay free environment.

In Logic Audio, I can insert a wave file onto the arrange window and then click on the 'delay' adjuster for that track and move it back and forth. I don't know how Cubase deals with this but you should be able to find it quite easily. You can either do it by ear (tricky to get it right) or work out how much delay you audio system creates before writing to disk and then always use the same delay settings for all the overdubbed tracks. The latency should be the same everytime. Cheap soundcards and certain OS systems and DMA architechture is often the problem. Make sure you buy the best you can afford, everytime...!

What is the file extension the program is using?

It should be .mus if not, try adding the .mus extension directly to the file name when saving and see what happens.

Re: Background music removal, Voice Keeper!!!

you can try to filter out certain parts, but it will sound like sh!t. Nothing yet. You can somewhat remove vocals from a track, but even that usually sounds like sh!t too.

How do I record without track skips?

I want to record continuous DJ CDs as single MP3 files without skips between tracks. Any idea how I can do this? I use Adaptec software mostly.

Re: How do I record without track skips?

dont use adeptech software. i found that out the hard way. try to find a ver. of cdrwin. it will alow you to decide whether or not you want to gap the tracks.
