Transcription/Translation Software

Is there software on the market that can translate a MIDI file to written sheet music? If so, where can I find it and how much does it cost for a single user license.

Shutdown Problem with SoundBlaster Live Plaatinum 5.1

I recently installed a SoundBlaster Live and I got the drivers in but when I install the software it wont power down. It goes till the "Windows is shutting down" then it freezes. Any one have any ideas.

Go to my site, you can download karaoke songs and write them to disk, you will find everything you need.

WaveLab Lite Processing I need help!

I need to find the right software to use in editing tapes of harp and voice - up to 30 minutes per piece. SoundEdit 16 v. 2 has all the features I need, but apparently it is only for a Macintosh. Is there an equivalent program for Windows?

Hi everyone! I'm hoping that someone will be able to help me out, as I'm in a bit of a bind.

I have lost the installation disk to my copy of Encore 3.0. I've since had to reformat my computer, and therefore am unable to re-install it. I purchased this product about 3 years ago, and I wouldn't dream of using anything else.

If someone out there has a copy of it, who could e-mail me the files or something ... I have the installation code, I just don't have the disk.

I would greatly appreciate it.

Do you have a MIDI interface connector between your PC and synth? If not, you probably need that.

The other factor may be which port you have wires connected to. On my cables I marked one of them "in" the other "out". That makes it easy to track to see if they are plugged into the right MDID port.

Can anyone tell me where I can get ahold of a RA2WAV program that doesn't have limitations. My funds are limited but I'm not opposed to spending a little money. One of my DJ friends has one of his sets in RA format and he no longer has it in any other format. I would really like to put it to CD. RA2Wav doesn't work because you can't register it. Their site has seemed to go down. Please help!

What sequencing software should I get...?

I've just bought a laptop (600mhz, 64MB) and am looking for a sequencing package without the frills (ie. no virtual mixers, synths, effects etc). Should I just go with Cubasis, or are there other options out there which are either more user-friendly or more powerful/flexible?
Any ideas appreciated.

I have a lot of audiotapes that i would love to convert to CD digital format. The soundcard that is on my computer does not have standard stereo RCA connections but does have a mono microphone jack. What do I need to do in order to make CD's from my cassette tapes?

Hey, it's pretty easy---
get an adapter from a local radio shack or supply store and plug into your sound card, you should have some recording software on your computer someplace, if not buy some, or download some shareware stuff to process the signals to digital. Then, simply burn the cd's form the wave files you make OK?

self playing compressed WAV CD-ROM discs.

a year or so ago I got a disc made in Russia, it was 10 hours of Louis Armstrong music on one CD-ROM. It had a built in player so everything could be played from the disc. The files were compressed using the MP3 algorithms but rewritten with a WAV header. There was an installable codec for earlier machines to be able to play them. The player part of the disc was called TRACKER. I've tried to find out who did this so I can download an English version (naturally the one on my disc was in Russian. I've searched but can not find this program anywhere. I was able to substitute my music for archive purposes in their folders but would like a english language player. Do you know of any such player. A player that operates from the disc and will play all songs in order from the disc. I have plenty of MP3 and WAV players installed so I am not looking for another player you have to install. Q about Adat - optical connection

Does anyone know if the optical connector that's used to transfer audio from the ADAT to your PC with the Adat edit card is standard Toslink, in protocal? I know the connector is toslink, but if I hook it up to the optical in on my reciever, or a SB Live Platinum 5.1, will it be normal audio? I think it won't because that audio will be still seperated into different tracks, but maybe I'm wrong. Anypone have any ideas?

getting midi to work in dos with soundblaster

help please! i've just loaded up a couple of old dos games, and i cannot get the music to work... since both games use midi for the music, and playing wavs in dos DOES work, i figure i might be missing a simple command line parameter in my autoexec.bat or something... any tips to get this music working in dos are very much appreciated. please reply via email! thanks!!
