Joining/editing CD music

I am looking for a package that will allow me to take part of one song from a CD and join it with another part of another song and then burn the result onto a third CD. Want to do this to put together sound tracks for slide presentations. Do you know of any such package?

If you had an Audio editor then you would be able to do this easily. You would import the songs and then cut out the bits you don't want and paste in the bits that you do. You could then save this as a wave file and burn it onto a CD.... Easy!!

Pretty much as the subject, i am trying to mix mp3's and my only problem is when i get 1 at a much lower volume than another it sorta messes everything up. I doubt there is a program designed specifically to level songs, but if anyone knows of a program that has a feature of this sort i would be most grateful!

Normalising will level a Wave file to just below digital saturation and will therefore level all of your songs to the same level at their highest peak in volume... Most if not all audio editors will do this and maybe some stand alone programs. Go check the file area on this board or do a search for Normalising...

You are dumb there is no such thing, dvds are not mpegs in order to create(author) a dvd you need to first have ALOT of money, you will need a dvd-r drive usually around 3000 dollars and some dvd-rs, a more expensive version of a cdr that can hold like 4 or 5 gigabytes of memory then the dvdr burner will come with some software to convert to dvd format and you can now burn mpegs onto dvdrs

convert streaming audio to a CD track

I get this message when I try to burn a streaming audio file to a cd, whats the problem and how do I fix it...?
only wav and mp3 stero files not streamed with a sampling frequency off 44.1 khz and 16 bits per sample can be added

You need a wav/audio recorder that gives you the option of record "what you hear" (sorry but i dont know wear to get one - have a look) then play the streaming audio and record this to wav at the same time. (you might be able to pick up the signal from streaming audio on your recorder any way you'll have to have a play around).

I'm a musician...play gigs at the coffeehouse and record them on my little 4-track machine. I'd like to turn the 4-track tapes into cd's, and need a cheap program that will allow me to mix the tracks on my iMac, do a little equalizing, remove a little tape hiss and perhaps ad a little reverb. Any ideas wht program I want? Will it cost a lot? Will it run on my iMac?

DJX accumpanyments (like normal Keyboard)

I am learning to play the Keyboard! I have a DJX
Keyboard and i can't find any simple accumpanyments to go with the currantly simple pieces i am playing. All i can find are dancy/complex tunes like Handbag. The DJX 1
(my DJX)has a sampler and i was wondering if i could download accompanyments from the internet like waltz and rock and sample them into the DJX (they would need to be able to change with my chords just like if i had had them on my Keyboard all along ). Can you or another site help me.

store them at Myplay or Xdrive and be abel to listen to it at home on my Simens Expert (Windows98).
