The only player I am personally familiar with is Creative's Sound Recorder that comes as part of the software for the Soundblaster Live audio card. It has a function called "What U Hear" that will record streaming audio as a WAV file. The drawback is that this program will only work if you actually have a Soundblaster card installed.

Yes, you can record streaming audio but as I am finding out you need not only the right software, but the right hardware as well. First, go to http://www.looprecorder.com/ - they have a shareware download that will allow you to record streaming audio and save it as a .wav file. You can also download mp3 encoders/decoders to convert your .wav files to either .mp3 or .cda format. A good shareware is the Music Match jukebox/converter at http://www.musicmatch.com/. BUT, even with all this nifty software, you have to have either a full-duplex sound card or you will have to physically connect the input to the output on your sound card so that you can play and record at the same time. Confused? The loop recorder site contains some good information that will probably answer all of your questions.

I have several files saved as .rmx realsystem secure media clips and I need to convert them to be MP3 format files. I was wondering if someone could email me the software or location of a place that has this type of software. Real doesn't seem to have anything like this.

Any cd-burner usually comes with the proper software for converting .wav files. Mine came with a bundle version of Adaptec's Easy CD Creator.

i would love to start to create my own signature of dance music /trance/techno/hardcore but have limited knowledge of what to use and how to use it and where to start. I also would like to be able to practice mixing music on turntables and maybe advance on to d/j scene as well
all info would greatly be apprectiated kindly

I am having problems on finding information on mixing techniques. I would like to know how a trance track is structured. I know some of the basics on mixing, and I can match beats really good, but I don't know when to bring in the next record and some of the terms in mixing. Like Phrazing and looping etc. I would appreciate some help. Thanks
