How do I rip music from a Playstation track?

Hi.
Like you, I'd like to know that.
But did you know some playstation tracks are simple cd tracks and can be played in any stereo?

I want to Create Music for Flash

I want to get some shareware to create music files
in a .wav format.
I would like it to have a drum track, with a few other
instrument tracks with a variety of sounds. These are
to be used in Flash websites that I am building.
Very simple stuff.

Any ideas?

Re: I want to Create Music for Flash

Hi there,

Try <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/HammerHead_Rhythm_Station/">Hammerhead</a> and <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/FruityLoops_win95/">FruityLoops</a> out! They should get you started.

Cheers
Geoff

There are lots of programs with similar names so
please be more specific. If a shareware version
exists then it's probably on this site - here's
what i found searching for <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/cgi/htdig/htsearch.cgi?method=and&format=builtin-long&config=htdig&restrict=%2Fsmm%2Fprograms%2F&exclude=&words=Mix+audio">Mix Audio</a>.

Gaps between loops using Mixman studio - help please

No matter how I cut my loops, Mixman places an annoying gap beteen them. This doesn't happen with the mixman trk files - only the wavs I create myself. Is there a way to convert wavs to mixman trks? Will this eliminate the gaps? Apparently recycle is the way to go - but I don't want to fork out for it unless it does the business.

How to play back Cubase arrangements in TOS (Atari) format on a

Hi

I would like some advice on how to get my Cubase arrangements recorded with an Atari ST on the harddrive of my Windows machine and open the files with Cubase VST 3.5. I never had trouble with the Atari reading DOS formatted disks but the other way around just won't work.

No seriously (I have 3).
Atari MIDI out, to PC MIDI in, then hit record.

cubasisav

i was about to buy the new version of cubasis when a friend lent me his version of cubasis av to try out. however i cannot get any response from my computer -- the software is loaded -- however nothing is played into it from my keyboard --- all the necessary leads are in place. is ther a special setting i should use -- or am i missing a vital exec. i am a complete novice about computers --- any information on the initial setup would be appreciated --- thanks --- RD

Re: cubasisav

Some versions are written specifically for one soundcard and bundled free. These versions will not work with other soundcards. I would suggest asking your friend which card they have, and if it is not the same as yours, try getting a different version of cubasis.

The New Best All-in-One App...

Hello all,

I often get a lot of useful information from here...so, I wanted to let you all in one something I have found. Like most of you, I have tried just about all of the all-in-one apps, but each had its problem. I have now found what is, by far, the best: Media Wizard 4.5. I had tried a previous version of the application and had a problem (I cannot remember what it was now), but this latest version seems to be problem-free! It has a good number of new features since I tried it too. It plays all the audio AND video formats, has audio AND video playlists, converts cd to wav, cd to mp3, wav to mp3, mp3 to wav, wma to wav, wav to wma, wav compression conversions. I love it. In fact, I registered it yesterday. I just wanted to let you all know on what I think is the best all-in-one app.

Registration Information

I would like to know, How to register

Harmony assistant Version 7.0.1

Please Contact Thanks.

REBIRTH Question

My question is how do you record your current pattern into a wav file, so it ca be looped or used to make a track in say acid pro2 or other sequencers?????

please help!!!!!!
I will greatly appreciate any response at all!!!!!!

Re: REBIRTH Question

Hi!
You can`t convert in pattern mode but you can
record your pattern in to loop and then you can export loop as audio file (.WAV). It`s very simple. Just click File, then Export Loop As Audio File. Remember put your loop distance (example Start 1 - Length 4)
Sorry my bad english.

Files with filetype .m3u

Several downloads of free MP3 files I have received the files with filetype M3U. Can anyone suggest what this filetype indicates? The files are not very big so I suspect they can be regular .mp3 files compressed with some program which I do not know.
Any information or suggestion on the subject is very welcome.
Thanks, Umberto from Milan, Italy

: : M3U files are simply playlist files, which contain the filenames and locations of mp3s to be played sequentially. They contain no sound in themselves and there doesn't seem to be any point in downloading them. You can confirm this by either viewing the m3u files with Quickview, or by simply changing the file extension to .txt, then you can see for yourself.

Re: Files with filetype .m3u

Thanks for the info Geo, but if they contain nothing but text, why is it that websites which have their files as m3u's seem to have their music play immediately while mp3 files, or even wma files take forever to download??? Any help is appreciated, n THANKS!!!

Roland R8 power supply

I just picked up a used R8 for $50. It's missing a power supply and I was told that I would need to use the Roland unit. Is it possible to rig up something else? From what the sales clerk says the Roland power supply is a bit pricey.

Problem while mic recording, with Monster II MX300

I have a Monster Sound II MX300 sound card and when I try to record with a mic (not a cheap one) I get this characteristic high-pitched noise along with what I've recorded, and it gets louder as I turn the volume up. I had the same problem with the same noise when I connected my computer with my stereo and it was solved when I put two double cables(with one end not connected) instead of one in the two outputs the soundcard has.I cannot do the same thing with the mic since the soundcard has only one mic input. I welcome any suggestions.

Re: Problem while mic recording, with Monster II MX300

Answer: Have you tried grounding you Microphone to the same ground as your sound card? The problem could be related.
Sometimes the problem comes when the card is not well shielded from the other components in your computer. The D/A convertors on your card might create this noise. Hope things change for the better.Good luck.

MP3 Players

MP3 Players
MP3s are by far one of the more awesome means created to listen to and store music. Now, consumers can purchase portable MP3 players to listen to their MP3’s on the go. My personal favorite machine is the jazPiper by RFC Distribution in Singapore. This machine has 32MB of built-in storage (expandable to 64MB with the player's SmartMedia slot), voice recording and a digital telephone book that allows storage of up to 250 names and numbers. I do most of my shopping online at this great new site called Volumebuy.com. I suggest you check it out.
