head phones to computer.

how do i hook head phones up to my computer? i tried hooking them up to the speaker out, but they sound very faint and only on one side. thanks in advance...

Most soundcards have 2 outputs, line out for speakers and phones out. The actual power output from the line out is too low for the phones.
I dont know if your card/PC has a phones amp built in, if not you will requires a separate amp, a small amp should do just for phones.

If you want to listen to a CD, the CD drive should have a headphone output that you can plug into. You may also have to disable the computer speakers if you don't want any one else to hear the sound. This can be done by double clicking on the speaker icon and muting the appropriate section.

I'm looking into adding a laptop into my performing gear and was wondering what is a good, basic cofiguration i would need. If a PowerBook G3 works, how fast (400? 500? mhz) and how much (10 gig? 3 gig?) memory should it have.

i realize i can just buy a g4 and leave it at that, but my budget is limited and i'd like to have an idea of what is the least i need first.

Hi every 1!

Does any of you guys know how to copy the playlist in ECDC 4.0 so that i can paste the tracklisting into Excel or Notepad or whatever. This really sucks! I could do this in ECDC 3.0 but i can't do it in 4.0.

Any ideas how to do this? I don't want to copy the tracknames 1 by 1 this takes too much time. Is there some proggie available that can open the .cl4 files so they become readable?

Atari Music Software

I have a musician friend that for whatever strange reason is trying to locate music software for this Atari hardware that he purchased somewhere back in the 1980's. I have told him over and over to simply invest in something a bit more up-to-date. He responds in so many words that his Atari search will reap rewards some day. Any help out there????

Surf Around for a utility called Ra2Wav think it's freeware, This should do it also coolEditPro can do this also, However these progz can't unlock Ra'z that are copyrighted, Kind Regards Joy x

Anyone got advice and experience with soundfonts? I'm using a soundblaster card and need a realistic, free, thumping bass soundfont. I'm sure it must be out there - but I don't know where to look.

minidisc/laptop

mini disc from my laptop even with infared, digital cable,
and media player which sugests this (MD)but when i try simply sais
cable not connected or that it dosn't recognize the mini disc etc..

As far as I know MiniDisc will only accept a standard Digital Optical cable. If your Laptop has a soundcard with a digital output you should have no problems recording from your laptop to your minidisc.
