For starters there's no such thing as Pro Tools is hardware dependent. You can download a Free 8 track version from <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/ProTools/">Here</a>

Okay, suppose I have recorded something in Mixman. Okay, I have it there infront of me just to hit play and listen to. Now, if I wanted to add something to this without changing it (like throw in an extra instrument)also without having to rerecord the whole thing, then what do I do. I just want to add a couple of extra instruments without starting my whole mix completely over. Please help me out........thanks!

Just wondering if anybody could recommend a good Audio CD Burning program...
I've tried MP3Bee, MusicMatch (bleh), Nero works but I can't upload playlists, MP3 CD Maker, and that's it.
Please help.

Roxio's Toast

I recently bought a cd burner with the Toast software and having a major problem with it automaticlaly placing 2 second pauses when loading more than one cd. I called Roxio and they provide no customer/technical assistance for their product without a TS id number. ROXIO DOES NOT PROVIDE ANY SUPPORT FOR ITS SOFTWARE, NO MATTER HOW SMALL THE PROBLEM. They wont even give you the time of day. Call John at Roxio at 1 408-946-4949.

There isn't any plj -> mp3 software around because it would be illegal (in many places) to convert a copy-protected file. In other words, no can do!

This isn't really possible, Generally because when you take out a particular range/bandwidth of sound (ie Anything but the vocal Range) You will also remove all other music/instrumentation from that range.. There is on utility but i don't think it's that hot, it does the reverse of what you want! it's Analog X vocal Remover.. Check it out!!! 1 way of removing sound bands is to filter it out (Basically EQ) you can get some quite good results this way, But it's something you'll have x-periment with!! JOy xx

After upgrading from the atari 1040 to a pc running cubase v 3.7. my keyboards are daisy linked to cubase. the midi lights light up when i play the keyboard,but upon play back only the internal pc gm sounds play.I know this is an audio thing but im stumped!!!! any help much appreciated.

Dear You, Have you checked the little dropdown at the side of cubase here you can specify which instrument/output is the active (i.e) sblive out etc.. Also check that the midi output is activated in the multimedia setup part of cubase.. This will maybe help.. Also check multimedia or sounds & multimedia ( i'm assuming you're on microsoft OS!! you may have use only specified devices in midi devices.. check out these things and it should be ok.. JOy x

Marking tracks on a .wav file

I've seen this done before, I just don't know what software was used.

Why do I want to do this?

I work for a dance company and I want to mark tracks for rehearsal purposes. These tracks are not necessarily at the end or beginning of a musical section.

Any ideas?

Hola!! Hubi's is fine (2.6) is latest vrs, Best way to link Reason with Cub is to get hold of VST r2 then you can directly rewire Reason into it latency is best like this it really kick ass!!!Sychronization is much tighter.!!!!

mixed-mode burning on adaptec easy CD creator

I tried to burn a CD in Mixed Mode but i cant figure out how i can get the cd to hide the PC-track from showing up when I play the CD in A CD-player. Right now I have 5 tracks on the CD, number 1 is the PC-track and numbers 2-5 are the audio-tracks.
Do you know how I can get the CD to read 4 tracks when i put it in a CD-player, or if that isnt possible, how i can get the pc-track to be track number 5 instead of track number one?????

I have searched & searched for this one song which I DESPERATELY, DESPERATELY want the song name & artist for - It is sung by a female singer & was a hit around mid to late 80's & the chorus goes like this 'Wild on the aisle, acting like a child, wild on the aisle really ain't my style, wild on the aaaaiiissllleee......just do it!!!!!
At the beginning of the song this female singer talks in a normal tone of voice accompanied by 'dance' backing music which carries on throughout the song - Can ANYONE remember this song, I'm at my wits end!!!
Oh yes I'm sure the group or singer were American!!
