dude- search for the words: cd, mp3, rip. You will get tons of links to numerous programs that will do just what you want. I'm using Audio Catylyst and Music Match Jukebox. Those are both powerful programs

Aqui mismo se puede bajar. Hay varios disponibles en www.hitsquad.com/smm bajo el titulado DJ/Remixing. Yo he probado varios y el que prefiero es OtsJuke DJ (solo mi opinion).

recording and beats

i am trying to start a group, i wanted to know if anybody knows a good recorder and what should i use to make my own beats. I want something good, but not that expensive,you got to start little. So if anybody knows what i should start with and what good recording hardware i should use please post it up on these boards.

Start with a PC based software drum machine: It is the easiest way to get good at beat programming. (no tiny LCD screens) and no dealing with the limitations of the hardware.

If I were you I'd download an <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/cat/AUDIO_EDITORS/">audio editor</a>. I recommend trying out <a href="http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/Cool_Edit_2k/">Cool Edit 2000</a>.

Encore Delay

I'm using Encore with my MIDI keyboard. When I record the note pops up on the screen immediately however the SOUND of the note has a two second delay. When I playback, the sound of the notes playback two seconds after the cursor has passed them. Even during normal play on the keyboard-- I press a note, and two seconds later the note sounds on the computer. Why the delay?? I'm my settings are correct. The keyboard "talks" to the computer just fine. HELP!!

in winamp go to properties...output...and there select diskwriter...it will prompt you for a folder or direcory for the wav files...then uncompress anything you play until you change the output back to the soundcard

there is an easier way...nero 5 cd recording software will write audio cds direct from mp3

I'm currently a part-time mobile DJ. I use OtsJuke DJ which can be found on Shareware Music Machince. Regarding your question about equipment, a good resource is the following forum for DJ's http://www.discjockeyamerica.com/cgi-bin/Ultimate.cgi

Hi J,

Geoff is right. Though Fruity is a shareware version in which you can't save your creations as .flp-file, you will love Fruity from the start.
I've been using it since feb-2000 and still on.
I now have the full version, compo-heaven! I'm no expert in anything about composition-software but Fruity is a great way to learn more about composing. If you need more info maybe I can help you with a start.
