playing mp3 songs using qcd player

everytime i click d play button, a message appears: "another application is playing audio. stop playing with this other application and then try again"
why is this?
and i don't have any other audio player/application that's turned on or playing, so why is qcd saying that there's another application paying?

two sound cards or one?

If it is two, you can probably adjust the record latency on each card so they will line up. Just record the exact same line source onto all tracks and measure the latencey and adjust the cards acordingly.

Splitting tracks

How do you split tracks from a prerecorded CD. I have lots of music that have the voice and I would like to split the voice out and sing to the voice. What does it take to do this??/

MIDI signal timming problem !!

What I play on the keyboard comes a bit early when played back on Cakewalk.this starts happenning only after 10 minutes or so.this is the strangest thing i ever saw!! my old system had no problems with the same card and settings... can anyone suggest something i could check out? well I have all the latest drivers..even for the chipset( VIA )tried different versions of cakewalks.different os too. what is happening??????

I'm not too familiar with Cakewalk but...

it might be worth checking out your MIDI preferences to see if there is some Latency options set ..
eg could Cakewalk be over-compensating for the latency?

only after 10 mins ?
I assume you are recording a song that is 10min +
with a song of this size, is it possible that your PC is struggling with the size of the song ? (RAM)
could you have a lot audio tracks loaded ?

Hi, ive just got a delta 1010lt, because i want to record multi mics for my mac to run on cubase sl, under os x. But i cant get it to work, i cant work out which wires go where, there running into a yamaha o1v and i've also got an 8-way jack to phono extension cable because the original wire doesnt reach the mixer. Im in urgent need of help.

Question
I'm trying to convert files from one my Korg Karma
board which uses a floppy and two my Korg Triton Le
which uses smart media chips to a CD that's audible
I have a pretty well equipped computer. How do I do that? I mean we got the files on the computer then burned to CD, but the files were not audible. thanks

I have a fitness facility and I want to make my own cd's with my voice over background music. Could someone please suggest the best (not most expensive) way to do this. I had an RCA cdrw121 and that worked for about a month. Now it's shot and can not be repaired. I am a novice with this audio stuff. Thank You. Also, I realize I can not use just anyones music, but is there good upbeat stuff out there that i can use.
