Cakewalk and M1

Recording midi in protools

Can someone help me please?

I'm new at this. I've finally got Sampletank working so I can hear it and I can see the volume levels on the Master and Audio1 going, but nothing in the Midi, and therefore I can not record a midi track. Is it possible to have someone explain step by step as they would in a book like Protools for Dummies. I'm thinking it's my bus choices, but....Help!

Cubasis AV : convert midi to wav / finalize a song

To finalize a song on Cubasis AV you have (I guess) to melt all the tracks of your song (audio and midi) on one mastertrack (audio I guess) that is the final mixdown of the song.
Questions:
1.How to mix audio and midi on a same track?In other words how to create this "mastertrack".
2.How to convert this track in a .wav file in order to burn a CD with the song.

Roland VS2480 Project Disc Compatibility...

My band recorded some tracks on a Roland VS-2480 in a studio four hours from where we are. We are unable to go back to the studio for various reasons and I was wondering if I could get the sound tech to burn a project disc with all of our stuff and take it to someone using a different setup; say like a DigiDesign Protools layout.
I've heard that Roland encodes their sound files in a proprietary format that isn't compatible with much else. Is this true? If so, how can I get around this? I can't find anyone else (local) who uses a 2480.

Help! It's been two months since we recorded and we still are without an EP....erg.

Yes there is a function on that board that will allow him to burn the tracks as wav files so that they can be transfered to another system. the wav file format seems to be the expected file format for other systems.
