Try De-esser from Waves... kinda works.. www.waves.com and download waves 3.1 or something its one of the effects packs on it...

just load songs/tracks into any audio editor and apply noise reduction plugin and / or EQ. Plenty of plugins around - look at 'cool edit' editor for a start.

Easy CD Creator error message

I have burned a number of CDs since getting my burner but suddenly, now when I try to launch my Easy CD Creator, I get an error message that reads "Easy CD Creator engine initialization has failed. Could not create engine." I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software a number of times. The burner is an Acer and the software came with it. I suspect it is a software problem but I'm not sure. Anybody got any suggestions?

You don't mention which version you're using right now. Suggest you go to Adpatec's home page (Roxio) and download latest updates for your particular version.

software for music conversion

I am looking for something to take some live music (let's say I am playing a gutar) put it on an ethernet or usb serial line, either a dedicated hardware device or computer (I would prefer a hardware device), recieve it at a remote computer (somewhere else in my house) and play it or record it there. Does anyone have any ideas where to start?

E-MU aps E-card Ploblem

HI, i've just bought an E-MU APS E-CARD. iT LOOK LIKE A COOL SOUND CARD TO ME BUT THE PROBLEM IS THAT IT DOESN'T WORK WITH WINDOWS XP. THE SOUND CARD ONLY COMES WITH DRIVERS FOR WINDOWS 95. I'VE BEEN TO THE EMU WEB SITE BUT I WAS UNABLE TO FIND SOMETHING USEFULL. IS THERE SOMEWAY I COULD MAKE THIS SOUND CARD ON WINDOWS XP OR I'VE JUST BEEN FUCK BY MY LOCAL STUPID ASS RE-SELLER. THANK'S

The first show was called The Monkees with Mike Nesmith, Micky Dolenz, Davy Jones, and Peter Tork. They were America's lame answer to the Beatles and a cash machine for their record company. The second show was called Lancelot Link and as you said was an all monkey cast but had no relationship to the Monkees although there were real monkeys on that show at times. I'm just going by memory.

Phillips CDD3610 calibration errors HELP!

I repeatedly get an error msg regarding calibration.
I tried downloading firmware's 3.09 driver but it wont install correctly.

What sort of disk? If you mean a floppy, then you've no chance. Even at the lowest conversion rate (which sounds terrible), it's unlikely to fit.

Midiman and Cubasis VST problem

Basically I've just bought Cubasis and midiman interface.

Installed the usb interface then cubasis. Plugged in all the leads. Connected a Roland keyboard.

Roland keyboard is sending a message to midiman (light shows outout when I press a note)

Midiman device is recognised and enabled in device manager of Windows XP.

Cubasis does not seem to register any midi input.

When I checked the MME setup program I could not see Midiman (Shouldn't I??).

Also when I click on a track and then press a note (will all available outputs) no midi signal is recognised.

I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but not sure what.

Have reinstalled Cubasis, and tested my drummachine instead of the keyboard but no joy.

Mp3 upload or alternative to MP3

have been trying to upload an MP3 - one of our own - on to our website on tripod.ca and i get cut off before the file can upload. Can anyone tell me if there is some kind of blanket ban on uploading Mp3 files on to certain servers.
Is there any other format I can use to put a track on to my website, given that the Mp3 file is approx 1Mb compared to the .wav file's 10Mb

Some websites won't allow MP3s of any kind, even if they're your own. It should be in Tripod's terms and conditions.

I used to have a vocal extactor program on my old laptop, I think I got it either from here or AnalogX. It almost completely removed the beats, though you could still hear them faintly. I need to find this program again!

virtual roland mc-50mkII sequencer

since there already is a virtual sound module, the roland vsc-55 and the newer vsc-88. i hope some software manufacturers would also come up with a virtual roland mc-50mkII sequencer!!.. i know there are a lot of music sequencers around, but the thing is i need to convert a lot of my mc-50 song files to standard midi files using my pc! or if there can only be a mc-50mkII song file to SMF converter software, then that would do!!! can you tell me where to find this sofware?

Could you clarify this a bit - it doesn't make a lot of sense.

Almost all CD rippers pull off in stereo, but it's then a simple matter to use something like Cool Edit to merge the left/right channels into a mono track.

AS for the last part, do you mean separate the left and right channels from a mono recording? If so, this is impossible.

Rhythmaticity program

When I got my new computer running Windows ME, I can't run
my favorite software for teaching reading skills. It's called
Rhythmaticity, and it is no longer sold or supported by anybody.
It runs in DOS; it ran on my old Windows 95 computer. I think it's
a driver problem; I can run the program, but it won't recognizw
my MIDI keyboard. Any help would be appreciated--this was
my students favorite program.
